    Outstanding upscale Latin-fusion and great cocktails. We had seafood only, but the meats look good too. The service here is a bit overbearing and the servers talk a lot before taking your order, then try to persuade you to change your mind.

    After all the recommendations and reviews, we had high expectations of this place, but they weren't met. The reservation system from OpenTable didn't work as expected. When I selected 6 people, there were plenty of options, but when I selected 5 people (we were 5 adults and 2 children), there were only openings at 5 pm or 9 pm. So I made the reservation for 6 at 7:45. When we arrived, the place only had about 20% of the tables occupied. Most of the food was okay, but not outstanding, which we were expecting considering the reviews and the creative (and expensive) menu. We ordered several appetizers to share: The ceviche with aji amarillo was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. We were four adults, and all of us agreed that this was the best dish by far. - The guacamole - the description sounded spectacular but any guacamole, even at a cheap place could be better than this one. - The empanadas were ok. We also said we had way better empanadas at so many other places, including cheap bakeries. - The kale salad was good, but nothing to die for. For entrees, we ordered: - The pozole and then the waiter came to say they were out of it (even though it was a Tuesday night and the place was empty), so my husband ordered the tuna ceviche, which was good. - The chicken was ok, nothing spectacular either. And for $45 you expect something delicious. - The anticuchos were fine, but the yuca was one of the worst that I have ever tried and I love yuca in all its forms. It was like chewy, so weird. Two of the others ordered the filet mignon and the skirt steak, and they said they were okay but not outstanding. I mean, it's hard to do meat wrong. In addition, they only brought a basket with two pieces of bread, and we were five adults and two children. One of us ordered a pisco sour (it was one of their signature cocktails), and they were out of Pisco. With so many great dining options in South Florida, we are definitely not going back to this place.

    I used to frequent TORO many times and LOVED it. I will never ever go back. And it appeared others got the same idea because every time I went it was packed, but this time it was completely empty the entire night. They mustve gotten a new chef or something because the food was GOD AWFUL. I ordered the snapper...a dish Ive ordered so many times. It was NOT the fish they used to serve, despite having kept the menu description the same. In addition it smelled HORRIBLE. The guac it came with, also horrible. The tomato salsa, inedible. They put some kind of weird spice in it. I sent it back and was so grossed out I just asked the the potatoes three ways...I literally got hospital mashed potatoes with two chips sticking out of it and a potato. And it was NOT fresh. It came out as soon as I asked for it. It was gross! I thought...ok how could they mess up their famous churros. Well...the ice cream was gross, the sauce was not the old sauce...also disgusting and the churros WERE RAW INSIDE!! I honestly thought I was in a movie. That's how bad it was. Disappointed doesn't even get to the root of my feelings here. I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't speak up about the mashed potatoes and churros but I felt SO bad for the waiter who was actually nice and maning the whole restaurant. I'll never spend another cent here though.

    Great service, the waiters don’t let you go thirsty. However, the food is mediocre. We ordered a $130 porterhouse steak that was not worth the price whatsoever. The meat was bland. Their sides are ok. I frequently visit many fine dining restaurants and this was one I do not consider fine dining. Ok for one time, but unfortunately would not return.

    Fabulous food! Fabulous service. Too loud and lively for intimate dining but great atmosphere for groups enjoying lots of drinks and incredible food.
