We’d been really looking forward to this meal since arriving in Los Cabos and decided to go last night. Our hotel, the Esperanza, provided a drive up in a cart and the restaurant had a shuttle back to the hotel. We’re visiting Mexico with friends over both of our anniversaries and thought this would be a nice night out together. The entryway and main bar are very nice and the staff were welcoming. The decor is generally nice and contemporary, although we were seated in a back corner where there were peeling panels and cables hanging from the ceiling. Not quite what we expected in such a place, but overall the location itself is quite nice. The food however was very disappointing. My steak was grey on the outside and had no char, and the chimichurri was way too heavy on the oil. There was basically no herb flavour at all. My wife’s tuna chicharron wasn’t crispy at all (which is kind of an important aspect of any chicharron) and the only things we did enjoy were our cocktails and the potato side. Ironically I wasn’t going to order the side at all until I was told by the server that it was included with any steak; but when I got the bill it was added as an extra (the server removed it when I pointed it out and apologized profusely for the miscommunication). Overall we left extremely disappointed. It’s not a cheap place to eat and after spending over $100 on a steak dinner, I didn’t expect that my only compliments of it would be for the potatoes that were an extra charge.

Food was good. Decent value in Cabo. Indoor, air conditioned ambience was fine but they tried to seat us outdoors at first. It was 100 degrees and the termites were swarming everywhere. Very unappetizing.

Lovely tropical atmosphere dining on the terrace by the whale flukes fountain. As it happened, we were there at the time of the September Harvest Super Moon and partial lunar eclipse. The wait staff were pleasant and attentive, and the food was superb.
