Had a fine time at Topper’s last night. We’re hosting our nephew and his lady friend this week in St. Maarten. Janice suggested Topper’s as she was craving lobster and we know this restaurant does a good job with this Caribbean delicacy. We started with a favorite of mine—seared calamari. Not battered & fried like an onion ring, but lightly seared to flavorful tenderness. A new dish for our guests who really enjoyed the taste of the calamari without all the breading. Lobster was the choice for most while I had a taste for the fresh seared tuna. All were well prepared and presented. A real seafood feast! Topper’s is always a treat to savor.

The "cabaret" entertainment was a joke, it was so incredibly loud, I was concerned about ear drum damage, we didn't last 5 minutes, which was unfortunate, we were really wanting to try out the restaurant. On, a positive note, the Rum is fantastic!

The food was excellent and the service was great. The red snapper was delicious and of course the rum samples were a great hit.

Our experience at Topper's was mixed; the venue looks very threadbare when you enter though we attributed some of that to being over the water. The service staff and the entertainment were great; but the food was at best mediocre. I would not recommend Topper's to a friend since there are much better dining experiences nearby such as Skip Jacks.

Excellent selection of food, great price, karaoke was happening so that was fun. Rhum cake with rhum gelato for dessert. You can’t go wrong at Toppers!

The experience is not so good with the wind blowing in your face and no AC in the restaurant. We have dined there first years amd the experience keeps going down each year.
