First time visiting with my sister as we live out of town but were seeing concert. I’d definitely recommend and even travel to Raleigh just to dine her again! Our server was extremely helpful and guided us through the main menu and the sake menu book to help us find just what we were looking for. She also did an exceptional job guiding her trainee throughout our experience as well. I loved how I’d easily feel comfortable bringing my toddler to dinner in the very family friendly space downstairs or have a cute date night with my husband or girls night upstairs at the cocktail bar and high top tables. The kitchen was fast and did a great job coursing items and the bartender created some super fun and delicious cocktails for us! Thank you all for a wonderful dinning experience!

Service was slow. Menu is somewhat small but what we ate was tasty. Mixed drinks weak. Will give it another try.

It felt a little cold in ambience for a dinner night. More of a bar vibe. Service was great as well as the food and selections…will definitely return.

The appetizers were really good. The customer service and our server specifically were really great. He provided great recommendations on the menu which is always a plus for me.

Awesome atmosphere. Waitresses was friendly and attentive to needs of the table always checking in on needs. Food and sake was amazing. Tried a couple of the sake flights.

The food was fresh and delicious, except the dumplings were too soft for Pan fried. They tasted more like steamed dumplings. The decor was cute, but nobody seemed to care that we were there. We hardly received attention from the greeter or the waitress and our meal took so long, we were beginning to think they had forgotten us.

The meal was fantastic! Usually, when I go to a restaurant to get and get a drink, I can expect some half-assed attempt at whatever I order, which is generally an old-fashioned. It was a great drink, and it went with a fantastic meal. This was a great night and a great place to have it.

Great food. Had the shrimp bun and asked for non spicy due to stomach related problems. Unfortunately it had something spicy on it and the bun itself was cold but the taste of the food was great. Definitely worth repeating.

This was our first visit to Tonbo Ramen. If you even begin to like Ramen Noodles you'll like this place, but they also serve several dishes with rice, if that's more of your liking. We started off with the street corn for an appetizer, which appealed to both of us when looking at the menu on-line. It was well worth, and equal to its description. Cheesy, roasted corn in a mini skillet...nothing negative to say about that!! For entree I had Seafood Ramen, which was very good. They didn't take the tails off the shrimp, but they DID let you eat the meals with a fork (vs. with chopsticks provided at the table) and slurp as much as you wanted (said so on the menu)/they provided plenty of napkins!. My wife had JFC Mazemen, which consisted of Ramen base, vegetables and shitake mushrooms plus had a kick to it! (JFC=Japanese Fried Chicken vs. Kentucky Fried Chicken) chicken was a really crispy, spicy, fried leg quarter, juicy and tender. We had plenty of leftovers which is always good for us. Our waitress was great and very knowledgeable of the menu. A good choice for our date night. Parking was a pain, but it's downtown Raleigh, so it's to be expected.
