Tomalo is a worldly Mexican inspired restaurant, created by UrbanSpace Hospitality, that draws influences from various regions of Mexico and beyond. Tomalo anchors the ground level of the 44 East Ave. Residences, the skyscraper on the banks of Lady Bird Lake where East Ave meets Rainey St. We source and utilize local ingredients and a focus on community.

Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are welcomed any day of the week (closed Mondays).

We have a beautiful mezzanine lounge on the second floor of our restaurant. There is also a semi private dining room. The Private Dining Room has can accommodate up to 16 people very comfortably. Full A/V hookups. The top floor also has a lavish agave bar with 100+ various tequilas and mezcal as well as a full bar. Perfect for any occasion.

Absolutely Love this place. I had reservation as a solo guest and they made me feel so very welcomed. ALL the food was delicious and the chef personally came out to explain some of the meals.. AWESOME PLACE

Great place to dine! Super nice service and outstanding, shout out the bartender was also serving and going above and beyond. Totally coming again!

Fantastic! Food was amazing! Service was over the top attentive. We had a group of 7 and there was at least 3 different people helping us and one of the chefs came out to us to make sure all was great and detailed some of the dishes. And the restaurant itself is contemporary and spotless with low lights and candles and looks amazing. Overall a great find! Worth every dollar and then some. We definitely will be back!

The food was nothing special and very expensive, the drinks were ok. We had a good time but I don't think I would go back. It was very noisy. The service was excellent.

There is zero atmosphere in the place. They were out of alcohol that was on the menu. The food was surprisingly above our low expectations (following our one visit to Baccalar). Our server was very good. When she noticed mistakes in what was served versus what was ordered she adjusted bill. The place needs a real atmosphere. The setting is good inside and outside but it is always 80% empty. They might need a re-launch with a new restaurant/theme.

Had our anniversary dinner here and it was wonderful. The service was outstanding and the ceviche and sweet potatoes were my favorite item on the menu. The cocktails are also great. Highly recommend and will be going back.

Mucha luz, linda decoración pero la iluminación arruina todo. La musica podria mejorar su playlist.

Jorge the bartender made all the difference in our visit. The ambiance was beautiful. The four stars are for limited menu and forgetfulness of the waiter.
