Tokyo Bird is a Japanese inspired small bar located in Belmore Lane, Surry Hills, serving Japanese whisky and beer, cocktails, sake and yakitori – chicken and other delicious morsels on skewers, grilled Japanese style.

Tokyo Bird combines the best of Tokyo’s yakitori-ya and izakaya with classic cocktail bars in an intimate Sydney laneway small bar. We look forward to welcoming you to Tokyo Bird!

Awesome atmosphere and ambiance. Was a bit busy and one of our dishes arrived 7 minutes before our 1.30mins slot timed out, so we had to rush thru it which was disappointing. The sake was very good and overall it was a great experience.

Went for Valentine's Day dinner and we ordered the set menu. The garden spritz drink was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful of the food. Highlight for us was the brocollini, the chicken and meat skewers were tender. If I could comment on two things it was very loud and the service was a little slow;

Was my 1st time at Tokyo Bird. Food was deliciously awesome. Service was polite, friendly and sharp. The whole experience was amazing.

Great bar After dinner its place to go Toilet is clean and foods were little dry and Japanese whisky price is little hard to handle but beer and other stuff was great

Lovely staff overall! And loved the cozy atmosphere. Food was amazing too. We ordered two highballs, three yakitori dishes and some salad. And everything was great. Definitely coming back soon🫢🤍
