Set just a few minute's walk from the Tunbridge Wells Assembly Halls, and the historic Pantiles, TN1 Bar & Kitchen is a family-run restaurant, opened in May 2021, owned by Tess & Murat and their chef Lukas. TN1 has established a reputation as a warm and inviting restaurant and bar in the heart of Tunbridge Wells and provides drinks, cocktails and fresh food which is cooked on site by experienced chefs led by Lukas, and run by a welcoming front of house team headed up by Tess and Murat.

Our ethos is to serve modern & imaginative dining, which our talented kitchen team delivers 7 days a week. We’re open all day starting with brunch. Dishes include classics such as eggs Benedict and a full English or lighter options such as granola. Our a la carte menu boasts robust and creative flavours, using fresh and locally-sourced ingredients with a selection of grills and seasonal favourites including burgers, steaks, seafood and fish and the week finishes with a fantastic Sunday roast.

Choose from slow-roasted pork belly with homemade apple sauce and crackling, half a roast corn-fed chicken with stuffing (also homemade) or the pièce de résistance: roast sirloin of beef with creamy horseradish and Yorkshire pud – plus all the usual veg trimmings, of course. Classic starters such as prawn cocktail or our Kentish ham hock terrine, and desserts including our homemade apple crumble or sticky toffee pudding, make our Sunday roast "the best in Tunbridge Wells".

Lovely food but the service was a bit lack lustre. We came for a very early dinner and I don't know if the staff on shift were at the end of a long lunch shift but service was very slow at first - despite the restaurant being fairly empty. It picked up when we had a new waitress later on in the meal but the initial vibe was one of the customer being a distraction/getting in the way of staff having private chats. Not very welcoming.

Fantastic food and service. My daughter's birthday meal. Waitress's were so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. Especially enjoyed the chicken katsu curry. Thank you for making her birthday so special. We will be back!

Great Sunday roast. Great atmosphere. Always very accommodating and friendly, happy service. Roast is fantastic but would prefer some more ‘fresh’ vegetables if being picky. £££ but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and portion. So good value overall. Love the vibe here. Great for family and dog friends too.

Staff are always friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble to change on your order . Food amazing especially the Sunday roast best in town in my opinion. If you haven’t been yet you most definitely must go you will love it !

Food was delicious, but service was a little slower than we’d normally expect. It was a busy Saturday and so I’m sure this was just a blip as the service is usually amazing
