We always have a great experience dining here @ Tlahcos. Beautiful decor, the ambiance is unique and spectacular, professional staff, entertaining music, delicious food and plenty of room for large groups. We highly recommend to everyone. We dine here often.

Food, service, and atmosphere were all phenomenal. Hubby had a beer, and I had the sangria. Dinner was so good. We will definitely be back

The food was delicious but but we prefer a more usual menu than upscale. Server was very nice and attentive maybe too attentive. Lovely atmosphere for a special date night.

Oh my gosh! What a gem in downtown Plainfield. I found the place as I needed somewhere near the Indy airport (15 minutes away). The ambiance and decor are stunning. There is a free parking garage next door. The food is next level Mexican. Fresh and full of flavor. All four dishes we had and the salsa and chips were delicious. The only downside is that the water and tea glasses are small, and I had trouble getting help when the restroom was out of toilet paper. Prices are slightly higher than a standard local restaurant but it is well worth it. Yum!

Arrived at 6:30 and order for food wasn’t taken till 7:15… food still didnt show up at 7:50 and had to cancel order and leave without eating to make out 8pm show. Very disappointed.

Tlahcos is a unique restaurant with exceptionally good food. The menu is a little more expensive than traditional Mexican restaurants, but its flavor has Mayan roots with different ingredients. You’ll find some traditional Mexican dishes, but most are different than you can find anywhere else. I was skeptical until I tasted one of the examples. I had Mayahuel. Sautéed pork carnitas with shrimp in a blend of caramelized onions, pineapple, and coconut sauce. Served with black beans, rice and tortillas. My wife had Alambre. It is a blend of sautéed chicken or steak, bacon, bell peppers and onions, generously smothered in melted cheese. Also accompanied by a side of rice and black beans with zesty salsa Xalapa. Delicious. Margaritas are small, but very tasty. I recommend you try Tlahcos. Pronounced like “taco”, but with an “L” sound.

So everything was going just fine till it came time to pay for the bill. We had a $10 off $60 or more coupon that is one of theirs that came in a local coupon book. We handed to the server, and she said . I can't take the coupon. There is no manager here to take the coupon off. As a previous restaurant owner. I knew someone had to be in charge if I wasn't there. Someone has to be able to override the computer in order to take off the coupon or food, etc.. off the bill. So she said there's no one there. So, our experience went from a very day to a not a pleasant experience. I have a really hard time to believe no one was there. God forbid if there was an actual emergency. Sad, because it is these kinds of experiences that will destroy a new business.
