We have been to Tj's several time and most times its been a very enjoyable time and experience, this time was different. The service was exceptionally slow and inaccurate. There were 4 in our party and we were celebrating my wife and my 47th anniversary. 1. It took what seemed like forever to get our drinks. 2. My brother in law ordered a second beer which never came (we were not charged) 3. My wife's salmon was dry 4. My wife's baked potato did not come out until our meal was almost over. 5. The wait staff was not engaging or even friendly 6. It seemed that many tables were added to the floor to accommodate more people but that made the floor seem very tight even though many of the tables were empty. 7. The overall food quality was fair, not bad but not great as it has been in the past. Overall while I really want Tj"s to be my go to for high end dining based on this last visit it will not be

Service was good, my wife’s lobster was good and the sides were good. Rib-eye steak was not so good. Since it is supposed to be prime quality, I expected better quality (chewey/sinew/lacking flavor).

THE GOAT CHEESE CURDS WERE BEYOND DELICIOUS! ORDERED W AY TOO MUCH FOOD BUT IT IS SO DELICIOUS! ALACART CAN MAKE THE MEAL EXPENSIVE BUT MY HUSBAND ENJOYED CELEBRATING HIS 75TH BIRTHDAY THERE! AND THE DRAFT BEERS TO CHOOSE FROM WERE VERY REASONABLE! GREAT NIGHT OF GREAT FOOD!

When paying the prices they charge for food, one expects a certain level of quality. My burger was well over the temp I ordered, and my wife's wellington was obviously par cooked, and completely murdered. So much so the bottom of the pastry was burnt. But the sides were all good.

Usually fantastic but lunch midday on Saturday was a disappointment. Lobster bisque was watery, blue cheese on the salad was nothing but a hunk of cheese, fried fish was overdone and tasted like it was done in old oil. Still love the setting and our waitress was stellar. They did comp the fish.

Reservation was for 3, then modified to 2 when we lost a party member. Called ahead to modify the reservation which they handled promptly and thanked us for. Ended up in a semi-circular booth facing the dining area which was probably preferable to the tables in the middle of the dining room floor. Reservation was for 6PM and we were a few minutes late which we apologized for and which wasn't an issue, much to our appreciation. It was noisier than we'd hoped which probably shouldn't have surprised given the open dining room layout and which didn't match the experience we were hoping for at a place we've never been before and given the price-points. The wine list was broad and deep. We're not experts but there were certainly a lot of choices we were happy with. The mixer we ordered (the Orange Spice Manhattan) was excellent. We opted for the bacon slab app which was obviously a pretty heavy choice. The bacon jam it came with was excellent. The popovers were a little too good as well. We both opted for steaks (petite filets with marrow butter and blue cheese respectively) cooked to the requested temp (the medium well might have been touch overdone but not so much as to ruin the experience). Desserts followed. Overall our orders were heavy and relatively low degree of difficulty but were well prepared. The service was very good from beginning to end. At one point an error was made with our drinks order but was corrected quickly and with (unnecessary) apologies when we pointed it out. Probably will make a later reservation if we return. The tables that came in after 7PM had a different experience than those of us who came in during the 6PM hour, particularly if you're looking for a less energetic dining room from our observation.

WOW, REALLY! What a gem in OshkoshBgosh:) The space, the wine list, and the menu were sooo good! Execution of the dishes and the staff in the room were spot on. You would not be disappointed if you were searching Michelin stars…not exaggerating. Did I mention DRC:)
