   This was my second time at Tintoque. The first experience, about 2 years ago, was excellent, so I was happy to return. This experience, however, was a very different story. To say that the food and service have gone downhill would be an understatement. The menu, once robust with many choices, is now limited to just 5 entree choices. The only “meat” dish is a hamburger topped with foie gras (and one of my friends ordered it and it was basically no better than a typical overcooked fast food burger. My fish was overcooked, dry, under seasoned, and otherwise tasteless On their a la carte menu, the offer selections for 4 courses: first, second, main, and dessert. Unfortunately, the second course was delivered with the mains. When I pointed this out to the waiter (and sent it back), he became very unpleasant. He didn’t apologize for his error. Worse yet, he never came back to the table to check on us or to see how we were enjoying our food. Similarly, he either never alerted a manager to our problem or if he did, the manager couldn’t be bothered to come over and apologize or speak with us. And on a final note, while the wine list is fairly extensive, that’s very misleading and deceptive as many of the selections were simply not available. There are so many amazing restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, including many at this fairly steep price point. Unfortunately, this one is no longer worth the price due to poor food and poor service. Indeed, I’m not sure that it would be worth visiting at any price.

   I think this is the best restaurant in Puerto Vallarta especially their eight course dining experience and also we did enjoy the Easter brunch

   Très belle table à puerto Vallarta! Excellent services et le soucis du détails est impressionnant. La nourriture est excellente, le poulet frit en entrée est absolument d’une autre dimension. Wow 5 étoiles . Le banana split Tintoque est surréaliste et la présentation est digne d’un dessert D’Alice aux pays des merveilles. Merci à toute l’équipe .

   The instant I book travel to PV, I make a reservation at Tintoque. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. I can’t wait to come back again and discover the next season of dishes.

   Went for a last minute lunch on a Sunday afternoon and was greeted attentively by the host. Server was knowledgeable and attentive, making great suggestions and recommendations. Food was spectacular- nice balanced and clean flavours with not one ingredient overpowering the other. Wine suggestion was a Sangiovese rose from Guadalupe valley - a surprisingly true representation of this great Italian varietal. Can’t pick one highlight which would be more than the other- service, ambiance, food, wine selection were all outstanding. Price was more than good value for the quality and professionalism. Great job staff at Tintoque. We will be back on our next visit.

   Absolutely amazing food , service, and ambience. David our mesero was great. The corn mix esquite was outstanding. 💕💕💕

   Everything about our experience with Alexis (waiter) and Tintoque was top notch. We had the catch of the Day Starter, mushroom Bean and Cheese Tamal, and the Mexican Locally Farmed Ribeye. The other couple who dined with us had a deconstructed kebab dish and amazing fish tostada to start and the catch of the day that way caught earlier in the morning by one of the members of the kitchen staff. We finished with the not a cheesecake mousse with passion fruit. The staff was very attentive and every dish including several bonus bites provided by the kitchen were stellar. Ambiance was romantic and playlist included Marvin Gaye and Sade. This is a great place to enjoy a perfect dining experience while in Puerto Vallarta. I am looking forward to return next trip for the tasting menu.

    To our surprise, we were able to grab a last minute reservation on the upper level. It was a beautiful setting paired with wonderful service and great food. Highly recommend for a nice dinner out. Part of the group was vegetarian which was accommodated with multiple options. Will definitely return!
