Tinsel Tavern is an immersive holiday pop-up bar featuring floor-to-ceiling decor, festive small bites, and seasonal cocktails at Fourth Street Live! Open Tuesday - Saturday from November 29 - December 31. Reservations are encouraged but not required, walk-ins welcome. Entry is $10 per person Wednesday - Sunday. No cover charge applies on Tuesday. The services was awful, paid for 4 people and only 3 of us showed up, I asked for the extra $10 fee back and they said they couldn’t do it. 3/6 drinks that we all had were terrible. The atmosphere was definitely super cool & pretty. I would not go back again.

Had a 9:00 reservation for 2 last night, last minute needed to add a person so figured we would do that when we got there. Paid the $20 cover ahead of time for the 2 of us and the host told us we needed to pay another $10 for our additional guest. We gave him cash and we did not see it go in a register. Another host checked on us while the first host was getting us a third chair, I told him we’ve been helped and we were fine with just two chairs at our high top because I like to stand. He advised me I was not allowed to stand and had to sit. This is very much a bar atmosphere and there were people standing at the bar so that was off putting. So I sat through the slow service and expensive/under poured martini and we left after our one gingerbread espresso martini! Disappointed we spent $56 dollars for three drinks which were poured half way to the rim with melted whipped cream and soggy teddy bears and poorly made. Could not taste any tequila, only all the syrups they used way too heavily! The decorations were nice but not worth the experience and price.

Ordered the boozy hot chocolate and was suppose to serve 6 but only came with two shots so we ordered two more shots and got charged $16 extra dollars. So it really only serves two people.

Cindy, Thanks for bringing this to our attention - looks like there was a bit of a confusion with your server and our prepaid cocoa for 6, I've gone ahead and refunded the cost of the cocoa to your reservation. Apologies for the mix up!

Felt the experience wasn’t worth the hype. Split a pizza with another couple, my husband and I each got 1 specialty drink, I got a coke and we got 1 app. $80 when you include the $20 it cost us to book our reservation. Overly priced for what it all was. Had to wear our jackets because it was so cold in the building. Just wasn’t impressed all the way around.

This place is a joke - no food, no beer, no wine, and the only cocktails they have a premade and fake ingredients. We paid $15 to get in and didn’t even order a drink. Such a waste of money. And we were the only ones in the whole place

Not sure what the $15 per person fee I paid in advance was for. The place looked festive but nothing special for the extra $30 for two people to get in the door. Bartender was not on site upon arrival. Told we could have water until they arrived which would probably be 1/2 hour. The food menu was limited and did not include pizza. There was one other couple who came in before we left. Other than that the place was empty except for a couple parties who came to the hostess stand but immediately left (probably because of the $15/person charge).

Do not recommend! We visited several of the pop up holiday bars around Louisville this day and this was the only one to charge a cover. Such a waste of money. They charge a $15 cover charge to even get in but then weren’t even serving pizza AT THE PIZZA BAR?!?! There was hardly a soul in the place but yet took forever to come ask us for drinks. We just left. They turned away a large party of 10 because they didn’t want to pay a $15 pp cover charge. But again the place was empty…. Make that make sense?!

There was a $15 cover charge! For what?!?? Don’t waste your money and go to another Christmas pop up bar. Service and food was horrible.
