Un voyage à Barcelone au coeur du quartier Outremont. Petit frère du restaurant Alma, le Tinc Set est un bar à tapas qui se spécialise en fruits de mer, poulet rôti à la barcelonaise et vins natures catalans. Il est nommé sur la liste de Top 100 restaurants au Canada. Tinc Set = j'ai soif en catalan - tout à la bonne franquette ! Les meilleurs vins catalans et les meilleurs churros en ville ! Grâce au fait que la cuisine du Tinc Set communique avec cela du Alma, Chef Juan Lopez Luna gère les deux restaurants avec sa femme, sommelière et importatrice Lindsay Brennan (Importations Vin i Vida). Notre terrasse est premier arrivé, premier servi.

We visited Tinc Set based on the reviews of its sister restaurant Alma and had heard great things about it from another restaurant we visited. While the restaurant itself was undoubtedly a great neighborhood spot, it was unfortunately not worth the hype. The signature dish wasn’t available and if seafood isn’t your thing you were out of luck. What allegedly made this spot so great and why we hiked across the city was its use of local seasonal food along with unique wine from small Spanish vintners - none of which was mentioned or discussed. No wine list was provided and the wine glasses we had were sample size while everyone else seemed to have a full size option. Not sure whether it was because we didn’t speak French or were from USA but like every other restaurant we went to in Montreal we were seated in the least desirable table practically in a storage closet despite an empty restaurant. The waiters were pleasant enough and the meal was well prepared. If you live in the area it’s a worthwhile stop but otherwise not really worth the effort.

We are so sorry to hear that you feel that way, Beth. Tinc Set's menu is seafood and vegetable driven and, because we work with local and fresh ingredients, menu changes may occur due to availability, although it is not common. Our wine list is visual and is displayed at our entry. We work closely with 25 different winemakers that we import ourselves directly from the Barcelona region, from Galicia and from Andalusia. Our wines by the glass our served in tasting glasses as the spirit at Tinc Set is a casual and fun wine bar. Large glasses are typically used for those purchasing bottles but are of course available upon request. We do have a limited amount of tables inside but many bar seats designed which are for parties of 2. Some people love our table in the nook as it is intimate.

Overall very good. Delicious food, wine, service. Would have liked more non seafood and non fish options. Wider menu on other meats. Better seating options also, it was raining and inside seating isn’t too comfortable.

The good was awesome. Our group let the kitchen decide our mix. Food kept coming. It was all amazing!!! Service was great. Beautiful terrace.

Very tasty and very nice service. Their meals not on the menu have been always so good, a nice surprise every time. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a great time at Tinc Set on a Saturday evening with a group of 6. Milan took really good care of us and the food was delicious. We tried many of the tapas, as well as, all of the mains and sides. Wine was really good and the churros were bomb! Definitely recommend visiting and tasting as many of the dishes as you can!

Excellente adresse pour un souper mère/fils. Cela nous a rappelé nos jours à Barcelone ainsi que l’excellente gastronomie catalane. Le service est chaleureux et la cuisine ne cesse d’impressionner avec ces plats préparés avec minutie. Un excellent vin nous a également été recommandé. Bref, l’ambiance, la grande sélection de vin et la nourriture nous ont vraiment charmé et nous parlions déjà de revenir avant même d’avoir terminé notre repas! Grandement recommandé.
