Came here for my husbands birthday. We loved the food, great drinks and atmosphere! Our waitress was amazing, very attentive and informative.

This was my fourth time at Timpano. I have had mixed experiences at this establishment. Last night wasn’t great. Unfortunately, the cacio e pepe was bland, the restaurant got rid of my favorite eggplant side, and they now charge for “bread service,” which used to be complementary. The lobster risotto and panzanella salad were good. The acoustics need to be addressed. It was so loud I could barely hear my boyfriend sitting next to me. I won’t be running back to this restaurant.

We went here for a birthday dinner and had a great time. They were able to seat us before our reservation. Dottie was a fantastic server and made some great suggestions on what to get. The Parm to Table experience was awesome and I recommend it to anyone. We paired it with the salmon and would definitely get it again. Overall great and memorable experience.

Another overhyped Tampa spot. Service was lacking, a couple of teenage boys or came straight from practice to work. Fingers in food dishes while serving. No bread service at Italian restaurants criminal. Opted for the pasta wheel, noodles under cooked not sure how sanitary the wheels is if it’s used 70 times a day especially with the lack of hygiene from the wait staff. Drinks were good, decor pleasing to the eye. Parking had to wait for them to find my keys, and left my car parked in the middle of the road. Not professional.

Our experience at Timpano was exceptional, marked by a sophisticated atmosphere and impeccable service. The veal chop I ordered was superbly cooked—tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, capturing a robust, savory flavor that left a lasting impression. My wife’s sea bass was equally delightful, cooked to a flawless texture with a delicate, fresh flavor that was beautifully complemented by its accompaniments. Timpano’s ambiance and attention to detail in both food and service made for a memorable dining experience. It’s definitely a place we’d return to for another special evening out.

Great waiter, great drinks, great atmosphere. Food was not brought out orderly. We received our meat about 10 minutes prior to pasta. Very loud.

This was the third and final time that I’ll be dining at Timpano’s. I went to celebrate my birthday with my brother because I have always held the restaurant in high regard. The first time I went was about a year ago and everything was great besides the parm to table experience. The pasta was undercooked, not aldente, cold and almost flavorless. The rest of the meal was so fantastic I didn’t even care that their flagship dish was subpar. The second time I went was good, but not as great as the first time. The food was simply inconsistent with the depth of flavor and texture that was delivered the first time. Nothing that would keep me from not returning. The same can’t be said about this final visit to Timpano’s… We were seated quickly and greeted by our waitress who asked us for our drinks and said she’d be back to take our order as usual. It took about 5-10 minutes to get our water, not a great sign. But again, I liked this place so I thought nothing of it. We ordered our appetizers which were half a dozen oysters, two orders of calamari, two Caesar salads, burrata, and octopus. The burrata was very sour and you could taste the plastic wrap and baking sheet that it was stored in. Not the freshest tasting cheese I’ve ever had. The first calamari was cooked well and was hot, the second was over cooked and cold. The first Caesar salad had plenty of dressing on it and the second did not. Also, the Caesar salads were full of kale stems. The octopus was overdone and tasted like pork cracklings from a gas station. The best food we had the entire night was the raw oysters, the only thing on the menu that didn’t require any work from the kitchen besides shucking them. I think this says a lot about how things were run this night. For the main course we had three orders of pappardelle which was supposed to have ground short rib and prosciutto. The pasta was so poorly cooked that it was truly inedible. It tasted like it came from a can. The manager could care less.

Timpanos is now, unfortunately, under new ownership/management. When we lived in Tampa a few years ago, we always came and the food was amazing, now, it’s crap. When you have good, fresh food, there is no need to over season. So I am assuming something is wrong with the quality? Our food tasted (all 3 of us) like a salt shaker had been dropped in the dish and then served. The server over heard, but did nothing. (Must be what they are used to hearing) It is so unfortunate because we are moving back to Tampa, but I guess have to find a new Italian restaurant. We will NOT be trying Timpanos again and wasting our money. Hope they figure it out!
