I've had the food there previously, so I know it's good. However, this time when we were seated, the waiter gave us a drink menu, but never returned to take our drink order. We waited for about 15 minutes, and he never showed up, and it wasn't even crowded in the bar area. So, we left.

My family had a wonderful experience dining at Timbuktu last night. The crab cakes were incredible and the service was top notch. We will definitely be back.

We celebrated a wonderful Father's Day meal. From the greeting at the door, I knew we would have a good experience. The food, service and ambience were excellent! A special Kudos to the Chef!!

We went for Father’s Day with a party of 9. The food was good. I loved the appetizer also. Bar drink service was a little slow but everything else was wonderful.

Had not been there in a long time. The food was good. The room we were in was very cold and service was a little slow taking our order, but otherwise everything was good.

I really wanted to like Timbuktu, as others in my party had been before and enjoyed themselves. We had a 5:15 reservation and arrived on time. The host said he would be right back as he was getting the table set. We were sat 25 minutes later after I kept going back to the host stand. We were a party of 6 and we were led to the very back of the restaurant. It was about 10-15 degrees colder in that part of the restaurant. Only about half the tables in this section had tablecloths. It seemed to demonstrate the lack of consistency through the dining experience. Our server was nice and did a good job considering she had several large parties. But it did seem as they were short staffed. The crab dip was delicious as was the crab cake, however most of the food was average. But the temperature of the room was so uncomfortable it was hard to focus on anything else. I noticed diners at other tables had gone back out to their cars to get anything to keep themselves warm. I took my kids outside for a while so they could warm up. The food got cold very quickly as the AC was blasting. I did mention the room temperature to the wait staff and management. I'm willing to give Timbuktu another try as we were there on a holiday which can be a challenging service day, but will be prepared with a coat and scarf.

Food, ambiance was perfect. We were in a quite little nook off to ourselves but I think our server forgot about us. We had to just catch him as he was passing to go in the party room that he was serving a big party. It was so bad that our drinks (not alcohol) didn’t come until after our food came to the table. Only one person ordered alcohol and he was on his second drink from the bar before we even got our first coke and lemonade. Our appetizer and food come maybe two minutes apart leaving no time or space for appetizers. Food was plentiful great value for your money. They don’t slight you on the portions which made up for the lack there of from our server. It’s been a very long time since I had a good mind to not tip at all. I generally tip even sometimes when I feel like the sever didn’t deserve it. But this server was so bad ver the top bad if it weren’t for gratuity added in the bill he would not have gotten a dime from me.
