We are the seafood and steak destination! A full service family restaurant, deli and convenience store that serves the best quality food and crab cakes and beverage in the Greater Baltimore Washington area in a clean, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere with a staff dedicated to providing knowledgeable, memorable and happy service to our customers. We are dedicated to being an active and giving member of the community.

Timbuktu serves lunch and dinner daily and offers dine in, carry out and banquet catering. Lunch and dinner at the restaurant offers an array of appetizers, soups, salads, entrées, sandwiches, burgers, Southwest fare, pasta and seafood on the menu.

We have been coming to Timbuktu for over 20 years and this time we feel like the restaurant presentation was not like it used to be. Specially for the food prices going up; there used to be cloth tables and more elegant dining, this time it was more casual dining. The quality of the food was excellent, the service staff were very nice and attentive. The biggest area of opportunity is the bathrooms, they need a remodel soon. Overall 5 stars for food and service.

Amazing crab cakes - the whole reason to go. Every thing else is fine but not exceptional. We stope there whenever we are near because there is no place like it.

Food was good. Seafood Diablo was very good. Gulf shrimp, scallops very tasty. Sauce could had been thickened.

We both ordered the lobster w/crab cake ~ which looked awesome when it arrived. However trying to cut the lobster was very difficult - and it was tough - not worth eating and I told our waiter it was over cooked. he mentioned it to the cook - who told him the lobster has to be cooked (a certain time allotment). The lobster was so tough it was hard to cut tells one that the lobster was overcooked ... our waiter took back our uneated and attempted pieces of trying to cut it back and took off a small portion of our meal tickets as a result. The crab cake was wonderful and totally fulfilling.
