We had a lovely meal for my wife's birthday. The service was excellent, the Caesar salad was fabulous and they help me celebrate my wife's birthday.

Really nice setting/ambience and very attentive service. We liked most of our dishes a lot but found the mahi mahi a little fishier tasting than we prefer.

This was my first dining experience at Tides and although it was not the luxury dining experience I believed it to be I would go back. The food was good however not outstanding nor memorable. I was not expecting the atmosphere to be as loud and full of families and young kids as it was. Also all the table are quite close so if you’re looking for a private conversation this is not the place. The most disappointing thing was the AC. It was quite strong and blowing cold air on us the whole time. Seriously. It was blowing very strong air and it was a cold night outside.

This was our second time visiting Tides. Our first experience was terrific however this time was just average with the food lacking the pizazz it had the first time. The special quash soup was cold and bland. The peppers were cold and sauce lacking any taste. The entrees were just ok with the broccolini hard as rock. It will be a while before we go back.

We really enjoyed our experience at Tides! The food from appetizers, dinner and dessert were so delicious. The signature drinks were very good too. Our hostess was so sweet and efficient as well as all the staff. The calamari appetizer was our favorite. We will definitely be back soon!

Went on a Thursday for the first time to Tides. It was excellent - Robyn was a great waitress, we were greeted by Janet, treated well and the food was excellent with great choices and full sized servings.

We went for a Saturday date night. The restaurant had lots of tables filled inside and out which is always a good sign. Our waiter Manny was very friendly and gave us time to look over the menu. We started with the Spanish octopus with Japanese sweet potato, probably the best octopus we’ve ever had. My husband got the Whole Red Snapper fried in rice flour. It was delicious! Could be a two person menu item as it was a very big fish. I had the Halibut with charred cauliflower and parsley cream sauce. The halibut was cooked perfectly! We were so full but still ordered the Chocolate Lava cake and espresso Martinis. Both yummy. As we were about to wrap up the evening we had the pleasure of Ron the owner coming to chat with us! Definitely going to add Tides to our date night rotation and out of town guest’s reservations.

A neighborhood gem. The mahi mahi special sounded delicious but was not available by 8pm. The substitute salmon from the menu was a little overcooked but was beautifully presented. Otherwise a lovely meal including Caesar salad and lava cake dessert.

I think the one and only thing wrong with this restaurant is the noise level. The fish is super fresh and they prepare it perfectly. Their cocktails list is fun. Their desserts are incredible. I think the outside tables are best if the weather is warm enough. Despite the noise level, I will be back. This place is on par with any of Danville’s top-end restaurants, including Esin and Bridges.
