Very friendly staff. However, the food is terrible. We ordered the calamari for a starter and they were over fried. For the price, the food is just sub-par. Would recommend one of the many other seafood restaurants in the area before dining here.

Four people dined for lunch, and the outrageous bill with tip was $175.00! We only drank water or tea, and no dessert. There is no ambiance for a hotel of this magnitude. Beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay however; management needs to upscale the overall appearence or lower the menu prices. When we asked for coffee, it was served in paper cups but our meal was served in very nice pottery like bowls/plates. Our soup was served yet we had to wait for spoons therefore the soup was not as hot as it should have been. The coffee was horrible and the server did remove it from the bill. The shrimp was extremely good! We drove down for the day from Richmond. Very very dissapointed over all.

The drinks were watered down. Worst manhattan I've ever had. The calamari was greasy and the service was slow although there was no one else in the restaurant. This was an utter disappointment.

We went to Tides Coastal Kitchen to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant advertised table side oyster shucking by a local oyster company but the waitress knew nothing about it. We ended up moving to the bar since their happy hour specials are only offered there. In the off season, you can order happy hour specials on the deck too.

We had reservations for 2 for a Thursday evening. Seated promptly; friendly servers. We ate on the deck so there was a lot of customer activity, but that's the whole point. My mom had the she-crab soup and a Caesar salad. The soup had big chunks of crab and was flavored well with gentle Old Bay seasoning. My crab cake was delicious and the presentation over asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes with a dollop of slaw on top was lovely. Perfect and relaxed first night meal. The restaurant also has room service (increasingly rare these days), and we took advantage Friday morning....breakfast arrived quickly and hot....a win. On Saturday evening the restaurant was hosting a wedding reception and another private event...everyone was hustling. We arrived with a party of 4 and no reservation, so we had a drink at the bar until they were ready for us. Dined outside....Mom had the soup again, but this time too heavily spiced....just ease up on the Old Bay folks...let the crab speak for itself. One appetizer very delayed, so it was free....great gesture adding to the awesomeness of our very busy server. BONUS for dining outside.....fantastic view of the sun setting behind the bridge! Now, a recommendation for cocktails...user bigger ice in the shakers; cocktails arrive watered down. The bartenders craft the cocktails with care, but the flavors are too muted. This restaurant offers inside dining in a cool atmosphere; provides outdoor casual dining; runs pool-side delivery and room service. Very busy, so give them a break. For a hotel restaurant, they do remarkable work!

This place had potential but terrible execution. First, it’s inside the Delta Hotel which I didn’t realize when booking. The inside restaurant itself smelled off… like cleaning solution but not good. The hostess was rude. Horribly unfriendly and did not tell us that their credit card machine was down and so it was cash only. We were sat outside which had potential - there was live music and it overlooked the beach (though it was night and not much to see, I could imagine). Our waiter was very nice but just an absolute disaster. We waited forever for him to come over to us and when he did we ordered apps and drinks - he told us we should put our meals in NOW because it will take longer if we wait longer?? It made no sense - especially to my husband who was a chef for 30 years. But he insisted and we complied. He did the same to the other two tables who had sat at the same time as us. As expected, the kitchen was flooded and after a very very long wait we got our appetizers with our meals. There were maybe 4 other tables seated in the entire restaurant, there was no need for this. The food was ok - someone had a really heavy hand with the black pepper on everything. Burgers, my crab soup…. It made it pretty un enjoyable. I had ordered a bowl of the soup - a cup came out. I asked the waiter, he claimed this was the bowl. When we got the bill, I could see it was the cup. We waited another eternity for a second round of drinks - to the point I was looking for him to cancel it because we just wanted to leave. It was insanely overpriced and understaffed. No one was clearing tables, or helping run food. I honestly think our waiter might have been the only one. He was working inside and out. The next night we went to the Porch on Long Creek - there was a wait but 100% worth it. I think we spent maybe $50 more than at this dinner and it was worth every penny!!! Go there instead of here!!

Food was mediocre not great. The menu was extremely limited. We are local and had brought out of town guests. Everyone was extremely disappointed. Couldn’t sit outside because of the flies and the music was just too much and too loud. This will no longer be a stop for our out of town guests.
