Great food great service friendly staff. I even come back Sunday for a roast it was lovely.

we have returned here after many years and were pleasantly surprised it has now been improved so we will be returning . It went downhill for us so we stopped coming . Ok its not as cheap as it used to be but the quality of the food is better .

Very friendly. Put heater on for our 90yr old uncle.his birthday.we had a young waitress who could not do enough.the food was great hot plates hot food.waitress took time to explain food.came back 3times to check all was OK.very comfortable atmosphere.dog friendly for those with pets.reasonable price.would definitely go back.

Had a lovely lunch with my Dad. A good choice of meals on the menu. The staff were pleasant and served us promptly. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and generally had a warm feel to it. I would definitely recommend a visit.

5pm sitting for 3 Turned up at 4.45 Asked to order before 5pm as want to shut kitchen Not offered a drink Table not laid out Ordered chicken and home made pie - after 5 minutes informed none available Still no table service for drinks asked us to order something different - and they would let us know if available - Got up and left and no apologies - explained I had eaten here before and enjoyed hence why I have come back - did not care

We were welcomed with a smile and shown to a table. As it was near a door with people coming and going, and there was a cold wind, we asked to be moved. This was carried our quickly. We were very near a loud speaker with quite loud music. We asked for it to be turned down. Again our request was granted quickly. The staff were all very friendly and had the right attitude to help us enjoy the evening. The food was good and hot. It was our third visit, and I'm sure won't be our last.

Mushroom starter was very nice. My BLT and chips were really good. Bacon very crispy. My wife's wrap for mixed up with another tables so had to be done again but this was sorted fairly swiftly with a complete new plate and fries. The desserts were particularly good. Sticky toffee pudding was perfect. My mini dessert of a brownie and coffee was just right. Took a while to get food but it was a full house so I think wait times were reasonable. Overall a nice meal out at a reasonable cost. (£26 a head Inc tip)
