Food nothing exceptional, basically whatever meat was in your order and heaps of chips with a little salad. Nothing that anyone with average cooking skills would be capable of doing. Pub has been refurbished somewhat. Unfortunately it looks like all the original walls were kept which makes it all feel a bit cramped. This makes it unsuitable for large groups. Only 6 if us and we were in the far corner booth. It meant others had to get up so those sitting against the back wall could get out. Toilets weren't obviously included in the renovations. Still in original condition which unsurprisingly is very poor. Couple of oddities to mention. When we sat down we discovered only forks were on the table. When we requested knives they were all in a container and plonked on the table which we had to distribute. The other strange thing was there were no female employees at all. Our group has been to countless Melbourne and regional pubs over the years and never have we encountered this. If the service was exceptional we wouldn't have cared, but that was fairly average as well. To sum it up, we had reasonably high expectations, but it fell well short of meeting them.

Came for steak night. Our meals were delicious and exceptional value. I've been to a lot of steak nights, and this was the highest quality meat and the best chips I have had, and came with a proper serve of salad rather than a garnish. Great sauces too.

First time here with 6 of us. Excellent food! Steak sandwich was tender and moist as was the steak ... cheese burger was a hit as well.

Staff really friendly and helpful, food was amazing. Toilets bit out dated and smell, girls loved the pub vibe but not the toilets.

Came in for a family mid week dinner. Though bar that we booked was closed for renovations, staff were welcoming and attentive. Meals were lovely, fresh and good selection of wines. My husband and son devoured their portobello mushroom burgers. My son’s choice for dessert, stick date pudding, took a while to arrive, however totally worth the wait as it was freshly baked and absolutely delicious. Thankyou we will return.

We have been to Three Crowns Hotel at least twice a Year for the last few Years and we always have a Great Night. Highly Recommended.

The Sunday roast here is out of this world. Amazing value for money. Amazing food. I try to go as often as possible. Great friendly staff. I feel like it’s a North Melbourne secret how good it is. 14/10
