Friendly and helpful staff. The Sea Bass fillets and risotto were excellent and so too was the homemade apple and raspberry crumble. The weather was good so a lot of people were in the garden area. It was a Sunday and the roasts looked very good. Unexpected surprise was the live music when a guitarist with a great voice entertained us. Very good dog friendly pub and great food.

We waited an hour for quite simple food. When it came the same choices were very different sizes, one had two pieces of chicken, the other had one. Some had loads of chips some had far fewer etc. One roast chicken arrived with no roast potatoes. Other elements mentioned in the menu were left out in practise. Apple crumble was burned and inedible. Overall we found them completely disorganised but apologetic. Food standard was about ok at best. I would recommend avoiding food and going somewhere else.

Very awkward atmosphere, just one lady there and was on the phone. We were standing there for more than five minutes. Didn’t ask if we had a booking, or how to order. It was for my grandads birthday which we put on the booking. We wouldn’t go back again

The food and drink service was terrible one person taking orders for drinks, & food, then the same person serving the food. No cutlery or serviettes or asking if anyone wanted any sauces, The food selection was very poor with nothing for vegetarians, then the food for 10people was served at intervals very late in between so we couldn’t eat together.

Although staff friendly and a nice looking pub with real ale choice for my husband, the food was disgusting. We ate Wednesday night on arrival at . and my schnitzel and hubby's chicken burger deep fried within an inch of its life. We where booked in Sunday at 1.30pm as it was BH. I thought at least the meat will be ok, how wrong I was we waited an hour and a half like so many others due to big cycle race on the island. Lack of staff or sympathy abd the pork was driest I have cover had, kale crisp, slicev of turnip Al dente, potatoes deep fried and soggy. Worse Sunday lunch we have ever had. Others felt the same. Manager eventually came out and apologized albeit in a jovial oh well manner and gave people a free drink. Pub ok for a drink but don't eat there.

Unfortunately we chose the weekend of the Ultra Challenge and the pub was overwhelmed with noisy people. Waited a long time for our meal and had to rush eating it because we couldn’t stand being harassed by people moving around us,

Very disappointed as food took one and three quarter hours to arrive and apologies only made after the first hour. One chicken dish had to be returned twice. One steak was good, remaining dishes were average. Sadly would not recommend.

I was recommended by the Grange farm campsite, it’s only a 20 minute walk but I drove with a large motorhome, plenty of room to get in and park, the garland over the door really brightened up the already beautiful surroundings of the pub, lovely food and good value for money I would go back again and recommend to anyone.
