Three Birds is a Chef owned and operated restaurant located in Corning's Gaffer District on historic Market Street. We are just blocks away from the world renowned Corning Museum of Glass and just around the corner from The Rockwell Museum.

Three Birds culinary team begins every day with a plan...gather the freshest ingredients including locally grown organic produce, prime and Kobe beef, and wild caught seafood. All ready to be assembled a la minute.

Experience, staff, food exceptional. A little chilly in restaurant. Only beef……wine list did not include one or two USA Sauvignon Blancs……there are many and many of us do not enjoy the New Zealand or French profile. Having said that, the French Chardonnay was outstanding and the Pinot Noir was great. A little bigger, more varietal wine list would be welcome. Staff was very attentive and responsive, overall a very wonderful experience everyone should try and have. Thank you!

Three Birds is our local "go to" restaurant, at least 3-4 times a year. Last night's dinner was no exception. The salads are normally huge, so we split the beet and spinach salad. I'm usually not a big beet fan, but I ate my whole portion. My wife ordered the pork tenderloin, a half rack of lamb for me. Both were wonderful. We each had a cocktail (the bartender still makes old-fashioneds the old way - muddles the fruit, and a vodka gimlet for me). I had the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream for dessert and gobbled it down. The restaurant wasn't crowded for a Thursday night. Our server (Jana) was terrific - smiling always, hustled to get us a few non-standard requests. The most pleasant surprise came at the end - just over a hundred dollars. The cocktails at Three Birds are still priced at 1990's levels ($6-7) unlike most white tablecloth places which have grown to double. I chose the lamb over the Osso Bucco which was a tough decision. I've had that dish on prior visits and it's wonderful. Overall, if you're headed to Corning for what the marvelous little town has to offer, you can't go wrong with this establishment.

We had veal and lamb dishes that were amazing and the creme brulee was exceptional. Recommend an early reservation for the quietness.

Grilled portobello and veggies was a nice starter, as was the Portuguese style clams. Pork loin main course also very good. The problem was the veal tournedos. The veal was perfectly cooked however, the leeks were really not braised well as the dish was totally overwhelmed by the leeks. As soon as the dish was placed on the table, all you could smell was leeks and then the taste was entirely leeks and also heavy-handed black pepper. That was a shame, and honestly, inexcusable, as there's no way it should have left the kitchen that way. The wine list is pretty good, but the vintage years were not correct. Also, the mark-up is a bit on the pricey side. Service was efficient.

Three Birds has a beautiful decor. It appears as a definite upscale restaurant with service and food to match, but its clients are clad ranging from very casual to jacket and tie. The food offerings are varied and delicious. We make it a point to reserve a table every time we are in the area. You will not be disappointed whether a special occasion, business dinner or date night.

Overall 5 stars…with the good being exceptional. Started with the oysters on a half shell and the were wonderful. Both my husband and myself ordered the wedge salad and filet. Bothe dishes were super yummy and prepared to perfection. Dessert was the crème brulee and the apple crisp… other equally good. Two minor things…I ordered the Coppola Diamond Merlot which I drink all the time and it didn’t taste anything like it. I didn’t like the wine…but I let it go because everything was super good. Other thing was that the noise level was disturbingly high coming fro the bar area. You get used to it. Wonderful birthday celebration and Hailey our waitress did a great job! Many thanks!

It was an excellent meal as usual. The shrimp cocktail and steak were excellent quality, with the lobster tail as an add on being the icing on the cake!
