Thirteen is an upscale, elevated dining restaurant offering an unmeasurable experience right in the heart of Midtown Houston, Tx. Founded by NBA Star, James Harden, Thirteen was a labor of love built on Harden's passion for excellent food and wine, while bringing something different and fresh to the city that you can't find anywhere else.

At Thirteen, we enforce a strict, upscale dress code. We do not allow overly revealing clothing, athletic apparel, jerseys, ball caps, bandanas, sleeveless shirts, or tank tops. Beachwear and gym attire including but not limited to sweatpants, hoodies, or pool slides are also prohibited in both the dining and lounge area.

Our drinks and service was very good. The food wasn’t to my expectations. I was pretty disappointed actually. The lamb chops didn’t have a sear and was so so on flavor at best. The chicken was ok at best as well. The good drinks and great service we had made the night worth it at least.

Service was great but the food was a disappointment. Definitely not worth the price and wouldn’t recommend

Our check was right under $300, service was great, our server was kind and attentive but the food is subpar. We order wings for the starter, that was delicious. For our entrees we order the chicken and lamb and seafood rice. Lamb was not good, the cream sauce is not good, the presentation was great but the food was not good. Chicken taste was plain. The Lobster dumplings is not good. The seafood rice should have a balanced. The Old Fashioned drinks were fine. I would not recommend this place as a restaurant but a lounge. Night out lounge is fine but nothing else.

Every single thing was AWESOME our waitress, chef, manager / Damion and yes the FOOD!! I was all good. Amazing service!!

Our waiter was fantastic. I was expecting top notch world class atmosphere considering the price. It was loud and a club type atmosphere. I expected the restaurant side to have decorum and class instead it was red light, house party, hood rich atmosphere.

The menu has drastically changed since my last time in this restaurant. I really love the previous menu which featured more of an Asian SoulFood menu. The seafood eggrolls are dearly missed. Please bring them back!

We were excited to try the revamp of the restaurant as we had previously visited with the old menu and had a great experience at that time. Before, hookah was only allowed in the lounge. But now they offer hookah in the dining room as well which we did not like. Hookah and upscale pricing/dining to me do not go hand in hand. The music was loud and left us feeling like we were yelling in our conversation. Our waitress, Ariyauna, was great! We ordered bao buns, lobster and prawn dumplings, and wings for the appetizer. Those items were great and left us excited to try the entrees. However, the entrees were very disappointing for the price point. Entrees ordered: (1) lamb chops arrived at the table overcooked and lacked flavor however due to the wait time my friend ate it. The manager even acknowledged that the cook was over. (2) 8oz steak requested medium temp and arrived well done. This order was sent back twice and by the third time it finally arrived at the correct temp but lacked flavor and the taste of grill char was heavy. The taste of the steak made it appear that the grill lacked proper cleaning as well. (3) salmon bowl the first bite was met with burnt flavor when the salmon was lifted you could tell the skin had been burnt and scraped off leaving burned bits on the salmon and rice. This order was sent back and arrived the 2nd time cooked perfectly. The manager, Kevin, was great in apologizing for the temp and cook on items ordered, that our experience was not what it should've been, and acknowledging the execution in the kitchen was not up to par. He wanted to ensure that the orders were made right and that the remaining service was a great experience. The 3 entrees were removed from our bill. As we were celebrating my wife’s birthday he provided us with shots and my wife received a complimentary cake. This was not the dining experience I wanted my wife and friends to experience. Ultimately, we will not return for another dining experience.
