The Yurt at Nicholsons offers a unique dining experience with exquisite, locally sourced and simple menus.

Our menus are curated by our head chef, who takes pride in fabulous flavours. All menus offer a variety of dishes using seasonal ingredients and cater for all dietary requirements.

Looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion? Our private dining huts offer a unique dining experience. What a wonderful excuse to relax with friends and family in our beautiful surroundings and indulge in delicious food cooked with style.

If you are looking for an informal venue for business meetings, our huts take up to 6 people, giving you a great spot to meet over brunch or lunch.

Overall we were happy with the experience at The Yurt where we were for Brunch. However, our cooked meal arrived before the Granola and had to be returned to the kitchen. Unfortunately, when the cooked meals were served, the kitchen had prepared the wrong dishes and had to be returned. There was an immediate admission that it was the Yurt’s mistake and the meals we did receive were excellent. We would certainly return again.

First time to The Yurt. Coffee was luke warm, had to ask to have it hotter. Asked for croissants & a breakfast each. I expected the croissants before the breakfast but came with it. My poached eggs were hard boiled. It was a nice experience but won’t be back.

The food was good and we all enjoyed our meals. If Im being really picky, i found the chicken a little dry but veg was really nice as was the sauce. Dessert was very nice but I found chocolate mousse a little on the heavy side. It's a lovely place to eat and staff friendly. Would definitely return.

Excellent and very attentive service, offered cheerfully and without being intrusive. My fish dish was beautifully balanced. My friend who came down from Birmingham to celebrate my birthday with me loved her arancini and normally a vegetarian dish is not usually her choice.

Excellent apart from being a little slow with courses especially desserts. However one major issue was my dessert was not as descrbed and I was not given any explanation. It should have been a strawberry tart with Creme Patissiere and Clooted Cream ice cream. Instead it was a bakewell tart with a few non-fresh strawberries pieces on the side and no sign of any Creme Patissiere.

Apologies, we have since changed our menu and that dish and looks like maybe we worded it wrong on the menu, it was indeed a strawberry frangipane tart with macerated strawberries not a traditional strawberry tart, we like to be creative but looks like underdelivered here as how we described the dish. We will look to retrain on this and we will get in touch to offer some desserts on us and coffees next time you are in! We look forward to welcoming you all here at The Yurt again soon! The Yurt Team

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Yurt midweek. Upon entering the room was buzzing quietly with conversation, we were greeted & served by attentive staff and seated immediately. We enjoyed starters and mains, all four were delicious, served in a timely manner and full of flavour! We enjoyed a leisurely cup of tea, and had plenty of time to enjoy the space - highly recommend for locally sourced, well prepared and delicious food.
