The Yurt at Nicholsons offers a unique dining experience with exquisite, locally sourced and simple menus.

Our menus are curated by our head chef, who takes pride in fabulous flavours. All menus offer a variety of dishes using seasonal ingredients and cater for all dietary requirements.

Looking for somewhere to celebrate a special occasion? Our private dining huts offer a unique dining experience. What a wonderful excuse to relax with friends and family in our beautiful surroundings and indulge in delicious food cooked with style.

If you are looking for an informal venue for business meetings, our huts take up to 6 people, giving you a great spot to meet over brunch or lunch.

A really different place to dine, food was excellent so was the service and the yurt was something totally different . What a shame they do not offer Afternoon Tea as well as Brunch and Lunch' Overall excellent nothing was too much trouble.

I had two guests who flew over from Oman to see me and they loved the food, the special ambience which the Yurt has, the coolness of the tent on a really hot day and the prompt cheerful service.

Lovely relaxing and different venue, thought the menu was a little wintery on a hot summers day, but other than that no complaints.

We enjoyed a delightful brunch at The Yurt. Quirky, pretty setting with polite, friendly and efficient staff. Our eggs royale were delicious and the coffee was excellent. The Nicholsons garden centre is lovely to walk around and the plants we bought were healthy specimens and surprisingly good value for money. A lovely experience.

Lovely surroundings, pleasant and helpful staff, and a good range of dishes, including an interesting range of vegetarian options. My dish of the day, hake with new potatoes and green vegetables in a fishbone and wine sauce was excellent, my husbands vegetable tart was tasty but a little overcooked. My pudding of raspberries in Prosecco jelly with yoghurt sorbet was refreshing, the chocolate mousse looked densely chocolatey too. Husbands fishcake starter was excellent, my beef tataki should have been excellent but was spoilt by drowning in an over soya sauce flavoured sauce, though the ginger and other flavours were good.
