The Yorkshire Brasserie is the newest addition to the Wakefield & West Yorkshire region. Our vision is to offer fresh produce which is sourced locally & seasonally bringing you a diverse but quality offering. Set within the Tileyard North development, next to the Hepworth Gallery, we have an external, fully heated & covered terrace offering a great dinning experience for those summer nights.

Staff were friendly & my starter of nachos were lovely, that was sadly the best thing about it, there was no atmosphere in there for a Friday evening, very empty. The food didn’t live up to previous visits, seemed to have been microwaved. The stuffed chicken was very dry, the sauced served with it was like thick gelatinous gravy. The cheesecake seemed it had been sitting in the fridge uncovered all week. My husband said his red snapper was soggy and the rice served with it seemed to just be a microwaved packet. It ended up being about £50 per person with food and drink, I don’t mind paying but it just seemed a lot for what we had. I’m sad as have been previously and it’s been much better, I want this place to thrive but things need addressing before I’d consider coming back.

In all the time we were there, there was just another couple in the restaurant. We had to call the waitress over to order drinks as after quite some time no-one had come to us; the two waitresses were busy talking. Then we had to send one meal back as the chips were cold. The meals were ok but I have eaten better pub meals.

We really enjoyed our meal. My Partner said it was the best beef he had ever tasted. The only dissappointing thing was that it said Cauliflower Cheese came with the Sunday Lunches but we never got any.

Service was a bit slow. Didn’t get butter with bread for soup. Asked for some. Never arrived.

Food & service great as always. Despite previous feedback there’s still no early bird menu to view online so wasn’t sure if it would be available until we arrived again! Opening times still very confusing and don’t match open table booking options?

As usual the food ,service and atmosphere were fabulous. Great wait staff - knowledgeable and friendly. On hand when needed but not intrusive. Nothing to much trouble. Lots of menu choices but not overwhelming. Quality of food was great. Table request due to injury and reason for the visit were acted upon and helped make this a great visit. Even the facilities were good x

Real shame about this one, was our first experience but something seemed quite off. The portions were a decent size and the food itself was incredible! However, not long after my friend started feeling really sick (she had the haddock). We could also see that everyone else were constantly having fresh drinks and desserts brought to their tables, yet once our food had been served not one person came and asked if we needed anything or wanted another drink etc. The lad on front of house was really nice and friendly, but none of the other staff seemed all that interested in being there and must have an issue with eye contact. There was absolutely no atmosphere, which to say it was a Saturday night, was quite disappointing. Not sure I'd recommend this one, unfortunately.

Fabulous food and great service, as always. I still find the menu offering very confusing; we booked for the steak night which we were told was no longer available. We were offered the early bird menu as an alternative which was full of lovely dishes and great value for money. This menu isn’t on the website so like the steak menu, no idea when booking again if it will be available. Venue, food and service great but your website and communication I are letting you down.

Delicious food and drinks at the Yorkshire brasserie. The starters were enormous- ham terrine with black pudding and buttermilk chicken, which we shared. Then for mains we had the pork tomahawk steaks - wow soooo good. Just need to tighten up on service - we had a voucher which wasn’t taken off the bill to start with - quickly rectified though. Also if you ask for condiments, they need to arrive fairly quickly Otherwise an excellent meal in a lovely setting
