The Sunday roasts are incredible with gigantic perfect yorkshires. I had the most beautiful pork belly and my son had the beef which was delicious as well. Not only is the food fantastic but the venue is beautiful, warm and welcoming. The staff is very friendly, genuine and accomodating. Truly a lovely place to catch up with friends and family.

Enjoyable Friday night supper. The Bavette Steak was excellent. Mix up of order meant our food was delayed, but our waiter apologised and offered some snack to fill the time. Well handled and food was delicious when it arrived.

This was our fourth visit and as before we were not disappointed. The food was of a high standard, wine list well thought through and service good. The York is a welcoming place and now very much our ‘go to’ local for eating out.

Wonderfully warm and welcoming hosts and absolutely delicious food - perfect for a slap up meal for a special occasion or if you just want a tasty snack or a drink

Great food, wines and negronis. Service was a little slow as they were slammed as every one came out because of the good weather! Great to see them busy though 👏
