First time visitor and came away impressed with plans to go back. This has a casual environment with elevated pub fair - my burger and fries (those fries!) were awesome.

I received an Instrgram post promoting The Workman's Friend, and I'm glad I got it. Upon arriving at The Workman's Friend, I selected to sit at the bar. The two bartenders were fantastic and entertaining. The food was wonderful and plentiful. My favorite was their chips appetizer that was served with kectup, aolie, and a side of curry. The Workman's Friend is now on my 'go to' list of Charlotte metro restaurants.

I’ve been here a million times and it’s always been good. Tonight was horrible. When everyone at a table leaves all their food and doesn’t ask for to go boxes, you as a server should ask some questions. We will be back but the food quality is really slipping. Even the fries (chips) were bad…how is that even possible?!

Thanks for leaving a review to let us know we dropped the ball on your experience. Hopefully we can remedy this issue and make it a one time mistake. I will speak to both the kitchen and the server that was working on the night you came in and find out why this was the case. I hope you can give us another shot as it sounds like you enjoyed us in the past and I would love to be back in your regular rotation. -GM

Always a good experience here, whenever we have company in town we always take people here because the food is good, there’s something for everyone and they can pour a good Guinness.

Date night at an Irish pub. Atmosphere was awesome. Food and draft beers were great. 10/10 recommend to anyone!

Best meal we ate in Charlotte! I’ll be dreaming of the sliders for days. The atmosphere, the staff and the food were beyond our expectations. Looking forward to our next visit.

The “chips” (fries) were not as good as normal, the shepherd’s pie had way too much potato’s and not enough meat and veggies as it usually does. Overall this was an ok experience but no where near as good as we have had in the past. The service was great and the staff was amazing.
