A beautiful 16th century inn nestled in the peacefully picturesque village of Warehorne. The Woolpack is opposite St Matthew’s church and surrounded by grazing Romney Marsh sheep. There’s a wonderfully welcoming bar, comforting food and five characterful guest rooms.

Food and ambience good. Service also very pleasant - waitress helpful, polite and friendly. Think it's a little over-priced.

Very good food and service, lovely pub. Only comment is that it would have been nice to have had more choice of real ale’s.

Visiting to Woolpack after many years but left disappointed Many menu items were off menu to lack of stock We wasn’t shown to our table, we were told it’s over there, and took a while before drinks order was taken. We were sitting row of 3 tables seating x2, in a corridor sited next to the kitchen where its bright uv light spoilt any ambience experienced historically- the cosy pub with autumn feel. We overheard squabbles between waiter and chef as a plate had been returned from a table and had to be replated and continuous declarations of another menu item that had ran out But the saving grace was that the food quality was good - staters ham hock and prawns (did order squid but no avail).. ordered burger and lamb with butternut squash salad. The lamb had no salad it was literally lamb with 3 pieces of butternut squash- but the taste was amazing. The prawns and the chips used branded grease paper. It made the food look cheap a little high street. We was there all of 45mins and got the bill and went home. This was very sad, once place that was unique cosy pub, in a gorgeous setting, that you could relax with good service seemed to have diminished in replace of chaos and confusion and a little main stream/highstreet. Its lost its mojo I hope they find it soon.

We went for Sunday lunch and left very happy. The service was amazing as it always is here, with the staff being really knowledgeable about the menu and wine menu. The ambiance was lovely. They are really good for gluten free options too.

My husband and I booked last minute for Sunday lunch, and we're so glad we did! It was a lovely pub with friendly, welcoming staff who were very attentive. The black pudding scotch egg starter was delicious and cooked perfectly. We both opted for roast beef. It was one of the best roasts we've had. We shared the biscoff cheesecake. Although we felt it didn't have a typical biscoff flavour, it was still delicious. It was really light & not too sweet. The pub also has an extensive drinks menu with a great choice of wine. We will definitely visit again!

We visited The Woolpack for a two night stay in October 2024 and ate in the restaurant both nights. The food was excellent, well presented, beautifully cooked and delicious. Proper restaurant quality food and not just ‘pub grub’. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant and adjoining bar busy and full of activity. The pub is cozy and welcoming with quirky pictures and ornaments, bright cushions and even pitch forks hanging from the ceiling. A real treat. Totally recommend.

The Woolpack has a varied menu with an excellent range of gluten free options. The waitress (Jess) was attentive & efficient with a friendly smile and welcoming manner. We didn’t feel that the lamb was good value as you needed to order a separate side of potatoes and it was served with a tiny portion of spinach, making it quite expensive and not very substantial (we were still hungry!). The gluten free burger was delicious and good value for money. There was an excellent choice of wine & gin.

We had dinner here. Great food, lovely pub atmosphere, cheerful and accommodating staff. I can highly recommend it.
