Small menu choice but good quality and presentation. Staff friendly and treated with respect when asked a question. Will definite visit again

The customer service wasn't great, had to keep asking for things like where table was, menus, cutlery, desserts to be delivered. The kids options not great for food. Chicken goujons very dry, kids not interested in triple cooked chips, just want fries (which I'm sure we could have requested had we known what would come but didn't know in advance). Having changed hands recently not sure if still in setting up mode but food offering, quality and value was much better before.

The foid was excellent, service good and all with a smile! Would recommend for good honest ,tasty food .

The food was tasty but the vegetables were hard. The guitar man was too loud- we couldn't hear ourselves talk.

When we arrived we was greeted at the bar and was told to wait for the table. We was waiting at the bar so thought we could order drinks then go sit down, got told to sit down and still hadn’t had drinks. Upon being taken the table. It had nothing on the table. No menu, cutlery. Literally nothing. We sat there for 10 minutes thinking it was table service as we didn’t have anything on the table. Eventually I got up and ordered at the bar and with the drinks we was wanting. We waiting 25 ish minutes for food which wasn’t too bad however brought out the wrong meat but at this point we hadn’t got the energy to complain. other than that the food was lovely! Can’t fault the food whatsoever tasting wise. Was a little pricey for just a carvery but was happy. So all in all, food is nice but again wouldn’t pay £52 for two carvery’s and 2 drinks. When it comes to service I think there needs to be more instruction and care, it did seem very understaffed and I’m not going to rush back to pay that sort of money for a carvery.

We were directed to our table on arrival. Wasn't clear straight away if they came to you to order food but then soon became apparent to order at the bar, which wasn't a problem. The food didn't take long at all. There was plenty on the plate and it was lovely. We went for fathers day with family and must say there was clean plates all round. It was slightly more expensive than other places but you don't mind paying if the food is decent . The staff were very friendly . Will definitely be returning.

Great service and you can see these people are settling in and trying really hard! Food was really Nice and we got an ice cream treat as it was a birthday which was a nice touch!

The food and service were excellent. My only grip would be the gravy was too watery and would prefer a gravy boat to put it on myself . Will definitely be frequenting the place again .

First time we’d visited for a few years. Pub is lovely and spacious and nicely decorated, we were sat in the dining area in front of the bar but the pre booked table wasn’t ready for us (only 2 staff on when we arrived) so we had to wait for the young bar male bar staff (wearing glasses) to set it up for our party of 7. It was fairly quiet when we arrived but soon got busy. We didn’t wait too long for our orders, but waiting times at the bar got increasingly long ane it was clear there were not enough staff to customers for a saturday evening. The food was nice, although we felt menu choice could’ve been more varied. It seems a lot of the old light bite dishes are no longer available which is a shame. We were seated for about 2 hours in total, and the entry door the to bar area was open the whole time and made it very draughty whwre we were sat as it was a pretty windy afternoon. It’s also not ideal the people congregate to stand at the bar in front of the dining tables where we were as they kind of encroach on your table while waiting to be served. Apart from that we had a nice time and meals and would visit again. The young male bar man with glasses who mainly served our drinks and food was brilliant and apologetic (when required). I had asked via text before we came if dogs were allowed in the pub ane was told not in the dining area so we left ours home, however there were 2 or 3 dogs sat around us so it would be nice for some clear guidance on that for next time.

We had the Sunday roast it was excellent! All home cooked food, so much beef and the vegetables were so good. The yorkshire pudding was amazing! Nice to have a local pub to walk to with good quality food. We will be back soon to try the mid week menu.
