We were in a party of 4 people and three of the meals were good but one had to be sent back as it was a burnt steak and ale pie. The pastry on the second attempt was still overcooked and hard to cut. The price of the beer had increased significantly by 60p per pint since our previous visit. However we didn’t want to make a fuss and enjoyed the evening overall, just

Booking online was easy with confirmation almost instant. The pie was very good, the chicken was dry, either overcooked or cooked a while back. The drinks were very reasonably priced. Massive improvement on the previous menu, we will be returning soon. Thanks

How lovely to have good pub food again. We had a delicious pie, gravy and yummy chips served with fresh well cooked vegetables! Thank you so much. Good service. All staff were friendly and efficient. We have booked again!

Our first visit to the Woodside since the change in owner. We had to change our original booking time, no problem at all, service was excellent and attentative but not in your face, food was great, I had the special, gammon, good cut of meat and didn't have to choose between egg or pineapple as got both as standard. All meals and desserts excellent. We will be back

Lovely meal for our party of 4. Freshly cooked food. Much improved since our last visit with previous owners. Smaller menu but much better quality with specials board. Give it a go we will certainly be returning regularly.

Small menu choice but good quality and presentation. Staff friendly and treated with respect when asked a question. Will definite visit again

The customer service wasn't great, had to keep asking for things like where table was, menus, cutlery, desserts to be delivered. The kids options not great for food. Chicken goujons very dry, kids not interested in triple cooked chips, just want fries (which I'm sure we could have requested had we known what would come but didn't know in advance). Having changed hands recently not sure if still in setting up mode but food offering, quality and value was much better before.
