Had an amazing meal at the Woodman last night. There were 9 of us. We all really enjoyed our meals, all homemade. Lewis behind the bar was amazing. He was doing everything and was so polite and couldn’t do enough for us. Jools was in the kitchen and he was super friendly and chatted to us all. Will definitely be back.

Very good variety of food. My only complaint is that I would have liked the food to be hotter. Warmer plates would help. We arrived at 1.40. Maybe if we’d come earlier it would have been hotter but as the food is available all day, this really needs to be addressed.

Had a really lovely carvery with my son today. Very good food and pub was lovely. Rustic friendly warm and inviting. Will definitely be coming again.

Food was OK for a carvery,service could have been better,had to go upstairs to see what beer was on as barmaid didn't know and didn't look(but to be fair only 2 barstaff on,one in top bar,one in bottom bar where food was being ordered so she was busy taking orders ect,pub itself looked like it needed a good clean,everything looked including where food was served from(was wiped down but looked like it had been done with a dirty greecy cloth.such a shame as it could be a nice place.food tasted good.had carvery.

Good hot food! They had just brought fresh out so was really nice! Nice flavour! Staff were all really friendly!

please try The Carvery at THE WOODMAN PUD SPROWSTON NORWICH thoughly recommend.The meat selection was cooked nicely and tender, and so were the vedge.and the yorkshires were home made not frozen ,and lovely gravy. we will be back .Good Value for money

We went for Sunday lunch after previously enjoying a weekday meal. Sadly, we were disappointed with the carvery. I have never seen roast meat carved so thinly, it was the same thickness as pre packed ham. Only 2 small thin slices were initially served but a third was given upon request. Someone in the queue ahead of us asked for beef as there was none visible on the carvery & after a couple of minutes, 2 slices were brought from the kitchen on a red plastic plate???? Roast potatoes were hard and cauliflower cheese had run out, we were informed there would be a 10 minute wait for more & that it would be brought to our table. I asked for apple sauce to go with my roast pork & after a few minutes searching in the kitchen I was informed they didn’t have any. By the time I got back to our table, my lunch was almost cold. The cauliflower “cheese” did arrive as promised but had no flavour of cheese at all just cauliflower & flavourless white sauce. I mentioned our disappointment to the waitress who was indifferent. We won’t be returning.
