Poor service, wait time was slow and no cutlery or napkins. Not enough staff ..current staff inexperienced. Food was not good and drinks took ages . We were so looking forward to going here but sadly disappointed

The Winter Garden is a separate experience from the main restaurant, but the hotel seems to be trying to run both with a very limited levels of staffing. Priority is given to the main restaurant, making service in the Winter Garden painfully slow. The staff were friendly and helpful, but they’re up against it to be honest. The hotel either needs to staff the Winter Garden adequately, or revert back to it being part of the bar area. Continuing with the level of staffing experienced this Sunday is only likely to get both the Winter Garden and the main restaurant a bad reputation. It hardly needs stating that there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from in Manchester.

Food was great. The service not so, took 10 minutes to get someone’s attention for the bill. Once we were given our meals we were forgotten. Didn’t even check everything was ok! Shame as the building and food great.

Lovely waiter who served us, good drinks and food was lovely. Very nice coffee too in a lovely setting.

It's a lovely lovely venue and will go again because of location and ambience. Food itself- the cheese pie is delicious but I've had this with the original company based in Ambleside and so charging £20 is a bit excessive, 15 max for this plate of food is reasonable. My friends garlic bread looked like frozen garlic bread. Hummus, sourdough and olives were delicious. The winter garden is pretty, service a bit slow but it was a busy Saturday in the rest of the venue. Winter garden itself was quiet so more attention would have been nice. Also when booking- could not book for 3 people- kept telling me no tables til 3pm so I booked for 4. The place was mostly empty so it's a bit strange that 3 was not permitted. Overall its a great venue so would go again but few areas of improvement would make it a better experience

We were very late to our table due to bad traffic but were shown to the table very quickly and professionally . Served straight away as we were only having a pre theatre show cocktail . We thought the decor and surroundings were beautiful , staff professional and courteous. The only thing I would say is a tad in the expensive side for the cocktails , but wouldn’t deter me going again on a visit to Manchester . Overall lovely place !

Food disappointing, chips not nice, toasted sandwich bit on the burnt side. Ketchup in sachets spoiled the ambiance a tad. Garden room beautiful, staff very pleasant
