All hail the mighty Clam! We're celebrating our other favorite bivalve for the second ever CLAM FEST! Join us at The Winsor House on Thursday, October 24th for a family style, 3-course dinner starring clams grown and harvested by our farmers. Cocktails and passed apps start at 6pm, with dinner to follow at 7pm. Just $100/per person for food and beverage pairings. Fees and gratuity not included

The floor was so sticky and tacky it gave us a bad first impression when we arrived. We wondered why they did not have time to clean the floor. The food was just ok. We felt the Oyster po boy was really skimpy with just 5 small oysters. It was a disappointment. The rest of our meals were also underwhelming. In the past , the Windsor House was a wonderful restaurant with good food. Although I live in town, I will not be back. Over priced and underwhelming is not a good combination for a restaurant. I hope this honest review will help the restaurant up their game.

We love it here. Been many times, and the food never disappoints. That said… Two things that made it difficult for me to give the restaurant 5 stars after this visit. Our waitress, I believe her name was Mia, was great. However, the young man that brought out our food was rude and just a little immature. He dropped the bowls of soup onto our table and didn’t even bring us soup. Unfortunately, I just think he doesn’t have the service mentality and professionalism that everyone else has at the restaurant. Secondly, the 8% additional tip for the kitchen staff is a bit high - this seems to be something that we’re seeing more of in the south shore, but typically it’s 3%. If we tip 20%, that means our bill will be an additional 28% on the entire bill…

Wonderful food and service; beautiful surroundings. Delighted to see how family friendly the Windsor House was. Highly recommended.

If my last name wasn’t Winsor I would have said it was a very good Restaurant, all of our meals were great, the Oysters were excellent and the staff was very good. The new owners have remodeled so the bar is gone, they’ve kept fireplaces and other historic items but the decor is nice and they’ve added a very nice mural on one wall. But the original Innkeeper’s (my grandfather) photo was nowhere to be found and they hung my Family tree in the bathroom (really). Seemed pretty disrespectful.

Love eating in the bar, it was raining outside so we had a cozy early dinner of oysters and grilled tuna.

So hard to choose what to eat, everything on the menu always sounds amazing. Oyster, blue fin tuna crudo and driveway clams are our go to. They have a great drink selection too. Service and atmosphere is top notch.
