The Windham Restaurant is proud to occupy one of Windham’s most significant historical sites. First operated as a farm in 1729, the present Colonial style house was built in 1812 and was extensively restored at the turn of this century. The Windham Restaurant features elements that are rustic, romantic and relaxed, including working fireplaces in our bar and first floor dining area. The decor complements the historic character of the building with a few carefully selected modern elements to create a distinctive dining experience. The atmosphere at The Windham Restaurant is as inviting as the seasonally inspired menus. Dine in one of our intimate rooms with candle-lit tables, enjoy your favorite cocktail at the bar or join us on the patio during the summer months. We pride ourselves on a proven menu and eclectic cocktails!

    Always so great ! Food and drinks delicious. Nice Vibe, friendly staff. New owners, so a sort of fresh vibe ! Should try !

    We didn’t get the table I requested on Open Table. We were seated in the room we wanted but at a table for 6 or 8 which made conversation difficult. My step son ordered a rib eye medium rare and it was served almost well. The lobster appetizer wasn’t very good. The waitress was good. We will return as the restaurant is convenient and usually is very good.

    Excellent food,drinks and service. A little pricey but not unreasonable -you get what you pay for and this was 100% worth it.

    Everything we had was delicious. The rib eye was much fattier than expected but cooked correctly. Our server could not have been more attentive, considering he was covering the whole room we were in. The Espresso martini? Yum. Tiramisu for desert? Yes, please. First time there and we'll go back again.

    No matter when you visit this restaurant that is a favorite with locals, you always have great food, drinks and service. We love the Ciabatta bread and seasoned butter. Try the specials, duck, rack of lamb, pasta or seafood. You can't go wrong.

    This was our 3rd trip to The Windham Restaurant. The first two times were excellent. This visit was a little disappointing. There was construction going on upstairs which made for a very loud distraction while dining. The food was good, but tonight not quite as good as the first 2 trips. Overall still a decent dining experience, but I’m not sure it would be my first choice next time.

    Food was great along with atmosphere. Suggestion: The restaurant should show the prices for the "by the glass" wines (3 pages in the menu) so the customers don't have to ask.

    Entrées were outstanding, we had the duck and baked haddock. Service was very slow but not the waiter's fault, he was very good. Kitchen staff really were poor to awful; vegetable and potato were cold, my hot tea was cold, my wife's escargot was served without any bread because they "ran out". Really? Ran out of bread before 6PM? Parking was almost nonexistent. I doubt that we will be going back.
