Discover this beautiful hidden gem in the Cambridgeshire countryside. The Willow Tree is a charming, unique and independent pub restaurant for all seasons with many beautiful spaces to enjoy. The charming restaurant offers a beautiful ambience, featuring an open fire, candle lit tables, and floral displays. In the gorgeous Willow garden you will discover eight magical fairy lit dining domes with Dyson heaters for a dining experience with a difference (Domes can only be booked direct online at www.thewillowtreebourn.com).
A large Teepee is situated in our Secret Meadow, also available to book all year round for private hire events, Serving a delectable dining menu with seasonal updates. Sundays Roasts served on Sundays. 'Little Willow' children's menu available. All dishes created rom scratch from high quality fresh ingredients that are as lovely, kind and as local as can be. Many gluten free options, always features dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options too. Dog friendly too.

Lovely environment and service, food was good but pricey, have paid less and eaten nicer food elsewhere. That said everything was of good quality and rated nice.

It was unfortunate that they had had an issue with kitchen staff so there was quite a bit of a wait for food but we were told that before we sat down and in the end it wasn’t that long although think there were issues for others. The bar and waiting staff were doing their best. We were advised to buy some olives and have drinks whilst waiting, think these should have been offered in the circumstances. Food was on the whole good but portions were not very big. I would go again to see what it is like on a normal evening as I think we went at an unfortunate time which was a shame as we had gone to celebrate exam results and even-though this was mentioned on my booking nothing was made if it.

We hadn’t been to The Willow Tree for many years but having recently moved to the area we thought we would give it a try. The young lady behind the bar greeted us in a friendly manner and gave us a choice of a table in the restaurant as there was only one other table taken. The waitress brought us menus promptly and advised a special dish for the day. We chose a burger as there wasn’t much of choice on the poorly presented menu that gave options for each dish of small,, medium or large! We waited over 30 minutes then the manager/ owner came to our table to apologise for the delay and said everything was prepared fresh to order. Another 10 minutes went by and I called the waitress to say we would go elsewhere if there was a further delay. She said our meal will be on the table in 4 minutes. After another 10 minutes our meals arrived. The plates were cold, the burgers were burned underneath and the unrecognizable sauce was stuck on paper which we had to remove before eating. A young waiter came near to the table and I asked for pepper and salt , but this didn’t arrive! Being disappointed with the meal I called the waitress over to quietly stay how disappointed we were with the meal and service. She apologized and offered us a reduced price. I went to the bar to pay and the Manager/owner apologized and was in floods of tears as apparently the Chef had walked out leaving other customers without meals at all. So overall a very disappointing evening and on the way home we stopped at a supermarket to buy some food as we were still a bit hungry. Maybe if they get another Chef and could guarantee better service with a more professional menu we might return to see if things have improved. The prices on the menu were a bit on the high side. I had a small class of Merlot which was £8 which wasn’t great either.

Absolutely love this little pub. I have hosted events for my networking group there and also lunch with friends. Freya the waitress goes above and beyond with the service she is absolutely lovely, very informative about the food checks back in , attentive but not intrusive . The decor of the pub internally and externally is beautiful and has had a lot of thought going into it if I would change anything it would be to add some light bites to the menu . The afternoon tea is fantastic

Had a super relaxing evening at the willow tree, great atmosphere and food was delicious, highlight was the sea bass! Only quibble was service quite slow, although all the staff were super polite and helpful.

Food good enough. Service was slow and had to repeatedly ask for the same things. Mint sauce arrived so late after asking the the roast was almost finished

Slightly disappointed with our visit to the Willow Tree this time. It took and hour for starters to be served (and the restaurant was not that busy) and we had to change our main course option after being assured it would definitely be available and then turned out not to be. Nice staff and a nice birthday pudding though.

We found the decoration a little odd in the pub but that is all down to personal choice although the dining chair was not a comfortable sit, there was no back support. We all felt the prices were just above what they needed to be for the entire menu and the amount of sweet potato a half of what was required but the Eton Mess double what was required. We enjoyed our lunch .
