Had roast loin of pork.. it was very tasty, well presented and the vegetables were lovely..

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our experience at the W and F. We went for Sunday lunch and found the atmosphere was tense and unwelcoming. The table nearest to us had a couple who were both taking phone calls for the duration of our visit and seemed to be working (perhaps they were staff?). The waitstaff were brusque and unfriendly, we were a table of 4 with 3 adults and 1 child. When our drinks order was taken the waitress walked off before we had a chance to order a drink for our daughter. We were offered a separate plate for our daughter as the child’s roast came on a very hot plate. When a different waitress brought it she placed it on the opposite side of the table without even looking at us. The restaurant was quiet so I cannot attribute this atmosphere to overworked overstretched staff. It was simply unpleasant. To top it all off the food wasn’t particularly nice either. The roast beef was tough and chewy and the roast potatoes were pale and hard. We left feeling disappointed and will not be visiting again.

I have been to this restaurant a number of times and everything, food, service, atmosphere has always been excellent, on this occasion the service was quite slow and it wasn't that busy, when my Father and I had finished our main course we were waiting for a good 15 minutes maybe more for service so I had to go the bar to ask and it took a while for staff to notice I waas there as they were busy chatting which isn't really acceptable. This is a lovely restaurant and on this occasion was a bit disappointing so please don't let it happen again

Lovely main meals- staff jumped on us as soon as we arrived but then didn’t come back for ages - we had to go in twice to get drinks ( meant to be table service ) and again to ask for dessert as no one checked on is for ages- 12.30 lunch booking and we got the wrong desserts at 4pm - not offered to correct mistake either. When I went in staff were just sat inside chatting to each other at the bar - they had set up a bar outside and left it unattended the whole afternoon- we could have so easily walked off without paying they were so not on it - shame as it is a regular place usually .

Always good, but unfortunately just let down by the fact they had run out of a few things we wanted, but good ambience sat outside on a summers evening

Great food, lovely service! I had the William and Florence burger and it was delicious, chips were slightly too crispy and would have loved a little bit more slaw but everything tasted good!

Really lovely Sunday roast and staff were super friendly and helpful. Lovely pub, will definitely be going back.

Lovely lunch with friend. Tartines were very tasty, although bread a little too crispy at the edges. Overall a pleasant experience.
