The Wild Goose Grill is a stylish modern Irish Bistro offering the best of dining experiences in the heart of Ranelagh, Dublin 6. Located directly above McSorleys Public house on Sandford Rd. It is Ranelagh’s most luxurious dining experience. The dining room combines old world charm and elegance with modern comfort in a relaxing and warm atmosphere. The menu is based on classic cooking with the very best of seasonal Irish Produce from local artisan producers with some contemporary twists. It has become a favourite with local residents, local business community and international travellers.

We had a birthday celebration in the Wild Goose Grill and it was a really enjoyable night. The menu is varied and has a nice selection across the three courses. The food was delicious, I ordered the pear salad, the cornfed chicken and we shared the assiette of desserts and each one was a treat. The service was prompt and the ambience in the restaurant is really lovely- white tablecloths, nice glassware and cosy lighting all combine to create a sense of occasion. One of the waiting staff can come across as quite abrupt but I think it's a cultural thing as her English, while fluent, is not her first language so nothing to be offended by.

Excellent food, service and ambience spoiled to a certain extent from a fire alarm which went off during our meal. It seemed to takes to be resolved. I understand that this was caused by fumes from another restaurant underneath. Appreciate this was disturbing but staff should have been more proactive in allaying customers fears. Still a very enjoyable evening.

Hi Fred. We apologise for the fire alarm noise, as it was out of our control we also found it frustrating. Our manager did explain that it was set off by the pub downstairs' pizza oven and was no issue but we apologise if it was not portrayed to you that it was not of any serious concern. The staff were very friendly and acknowledged our wedding anniversary with free glass of prosecco and a special shared desert!

Food was nice, but not outstanding, and not cheap. My duck duo starter was delicious, C's poached pear salad was OK. My rack of lamb was large and perfectly cooked but surprisingly lacking in flavour, as was C's steak. Pleasant service and a nice meal, but just a little lacking

Great food. Excellently cooked. Great service. Not an overbearing amount of choices on the menu which I like. Means the meal will be well prepared. Overall a lovely experience.
