    Whitehall is a great spot with a relaxed atmosphere. The Bloody Marys were excellent—full of flavor and just the right kick. The French onion soup was also a standout, rich and satisfying. Definitely worth a visit!

    We chose the early bird menu and our food was absolutely perfect. The waiters were very good.  It’s was very busy and loud but this didn’t effect the service or food. It’s the 2nd time we have been here and will definitely return.

    Ordered focaccia as a bread, which was the best part of the meal along with a pint of moretti. Service was good, but the tomahawk steak was disappointing. The steak was ordered as a medium, but there was a spectrum of doneness. Starting from rare to beef jerky. I understand with the tomahawk being bone in steak, it may be challenging to cook, but from a restaurant it wasn’t the quality you would pay for. The outside was very well done and was dried as if it had been sun dried, while the centre near the bone being somewhat light pink in colour. However, it was still far from medium. The steak was near room temperature with whole of steak feeling like it was left under heat lamp until most of the juice has been dried out. The additional issue was that the initial wait for the steak was 40 minutes, so we were afraid to ask the wait staff as we wouldn’t want to spend more time waiting for a new order. Overall food was disappointing, but service was good.

    An attentive and great service from all the team right from stepping through the door. We had originally tried to book at Brown’s for a pre-Christmas family meet up and Brown’s cancelled our table withe no explanation, perhaps because we didn’t want a bottomless brunch and just wanted a lunch menu. Great choice of food and the food was lovely. Not waiting long from ordering. Brown’s loss as the team at the Whitehall were excellent so will be back for our family get togethers.

    This was our first visit to The Whitehall and we will definitely be back. The service was outstanding. Just the right balance of attentive and friendly. The food was lovely, particularly the salmon starter. It was quite busy when we were there so quite a lively atmosphere but as it was Christmas party season that's to be expected!! We had a marvellous time!

    It was my first time to visit The Whitehall, it was recommended by friends, so we decided to go as a group of 6 friends for Sunday lunch before Christmas and it was absolutely fantastic! The service, and food was phenomenal. Needless to say, we will be back!

    This was the best Sunday lunch I have had in Leeds for a long time. Visited with friends. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic. I could not fault it. Well done

    Fabulous restaurant - gorgeous inside - don’t be put off by the building site outside ! Food delicious and lots of atmosphere ! 5 mins walk from the train station too!
