The White Swan Woodnewton is a multi award winning gastro pub serving a popular menu with quality dishes for everyone's taste - from burger and pizza through to tapas, Greek, Chinese & Mexican dishes.
The White Swan was built in 1790 and has had a £150,000 refurbishment inside and out to create a contemporary space whilst retaining the history of the building.

    Brilliant roast. Best we’ve had. Love eating there when we are up here. Recommend to my friends. So much to choose from on the menu. Lovely owners and staff.

    First time for wedding anniversary. Went with close friends and table booked for 2:15 pm. Arrived and shown straight to table by very polite staff. Only issue throughout was minor but both of the ladies felt the table we had by some wall shelves was a little dark and the chairs being quite high back did not give support to lower back. Minor i know but for some the comfort is as important as the food. Furniture aside the menu which we had looked at beforehand was extensive and offered so much and Wow , when the meals arrived. The Ultimate Meat sizzler plate was massive and my Mac and Cheese Lasagne was to die for. I am a biggish eater but struggled to finish it all. Puddings had to be done and the Biscoff Churros and Eton Mess Sundae were outstanding. Would whole heartedly recommend this location and it will be somewhere i am happy to return to again very soon.

    Decided to go and try the new menu out and was not disappointed with the levels of food selections on the menu with too many to choose from so will be back again to sample something else.You wont be sorry to take a trip out here and feel the welcoming from the hosts who make your visit special and the food will always have you coming back .

    Their systems were down but they still did a fabulous job. Always great food, great service and a great place to eat.

    Friendly and efficient waitress even under pressure as the computer system had gone down. Food excellent. We were a multi generational party of five people and there is something for everyone on The Swans very broad menu. all choices of dish were given a 5 star thumbs up by each diner, you can't get much better than that.

    It’s become our go-to place when we have a family meal :) We were late arriving last night due to local flooding but we called ahead and were guided in a different route to avoid the rising water. Lovely food, attentive hosts and plenty of good food on offer. We’ll be back - as usual

    Great food with great service. Food was amazing and large portions except the goat curry which seemed small in comparison.
