   Have been looking forward to eating at the white oak for some time so booked a table well in advance. We arrived 15mins early so got a drink and my booking was confirmed so we waited and then when ready I was told the table wasn’t ready so 20mins later still no one came so again went and looked for someone and finally we went to the table no apologies for the wait or lack of updates we where given the menu and specials list so I chose the pork and my partner the lamb but was told the lamb had just finished by the table in front had just ordered the last one which would not had happened if we had our table at the time booked.we did enjoy the food we had very good and plenty but we felt let down by the service as after we finished took ages before anyone came to us to clear the table and offer us deserts such a shame as the pub is fantastic but I booked it for our anniversary and felt I had let my partner down but she did enjoy her food.

   Had a great Easter Sunday lunch at The White Oak. Service, food and experience were fantastic. The team actually forgot our starters completely - these things happen. But they dealt with it promptly. Travis, our server was brilliant. Highly recommended and we will be back.

   The roast beef was excellent; moist and cooked perfectly for my tastes (medium). The accompanying vegetables were also delicious and well presented in side dishes.

   Our second visit. Very good food, relaxed pleasant ambience. Friendly service. Good cocktails too.

   Staying in the area on holiday and booked Sunday lunch. Food was very good and service excellent. All roasts were well presented with choice of vegetables and Yorkshire puddings. Seconds on request. Roast potatoes were outstanding. Lovely puddings and coffee. Would recommend.

   Lovely afternoon spend with delicious food, great service and in a kid friendly atmosphere . We were two families and enjoyed it. Food was plentiful and the desserts were yummy.

   Lovely service for my daughter’s birthday. We were very well looked after. Food was good.

   An old favourite, wasn’t sure how it would be after takeover by Brucan. Still a lovely venue, though ambience rather spoiled by the fact that we were the only people there for most of a Thursday lunchtime. Service is lovely, and chef adapted a dessert for diabetic requirements. The price has certainly increased but the quality is still high.

    We had an excellent time-the restaurant was comfortable and tables were well spaced; the food was very good; and the staff were exceptional.
