The White Lion, which is owned and run by the Holmes family, is a beautifully renovated village pub situated in Niton on the Isle of Wight.
Our aim is to provide fantastic fresh tasty food created with as much local produce as possible, with an elegant and relaxed atmosphere. Our pub has been awarded 1 AA Rosette for outstanding food and service; read more about what our Rosette means below.
Our pub is the perfect place to eat and drink on the Isle of Wight, whether you are wanting a beautifully curated tasting menu, a quick pint of traditional local ale or you simply want to stop by for a hot drink and catch up with friends, we can accommodate you. We offer a family orientated and dog friendly pub with a small children's play area to keep them entertained whilst you can relax and enjoy your time here with us.

The lighting in the restaurant was dismal Not comfortable to sit. Overall I didn’t enjoy my stay at the White Lion and the room was very noisy from the Road and parking outside. 😱

We both had Sunday roast lunches. They were delicious! Hoping to go and eat here again before the end of our vacation! Highly recommend this place!

The food wasn’t worth the price being charged. And then the food that came out wasn’t what was ordered. Not the servers fault btw

I like eating at The White Lion but last Sunday had a roast lunch with my son and the lamb was a bit disappointing. More fat and gristle than meat.

Wants to be better than it is. Seared Scallops with chorizo sausage turned out to be 3 queenie Scallops (non seared - ie bland), some bits of chorizo and 2 pea shoots. Liver and bacon. Dry, overcooked liver. Flabby bacon. Cauliflower cheese was watery.

Nice restaurant, dog friendly. Quick service and friendly staff. Food was good except the roast potatoes
