We have developed a fantastic reputation for delicious locally-sourced food, and popular local Reals Ales from Bowman Brewery in Wallops Wood which is just up the road from us.

We decided to have lunch out since the weather was so awful and that could help cheer us up! The White Lion was a good choice. We were warmly welcomed and the service was very good. Both of us chose a warming tasty soup and a vegetarian biriani and enjoyed those. The biriani was quite spicy. The pub has no car park but mid week there was room in the lane although turning was tricky due to a delivery van. Overall, 5 star.

You were recommended by family members. The food was excellent, we liked water being offered, mints at the end of our meal and hand cream in the toilets! Service was very good and we didn't feel rushed with our meal in any way.

Booked for a family birthday, 5 adults and a 10-year old. Food was all lovely, fish sharing starter in particular went down very well and almost all of the Sunday menu was available gluten-free for my mother-in-law which is no the norm! Staff were friendly and helpful and service was quick. Fairly busy but not too noisy, will definitely be back.

Delicious roast dinner with all the trimmings in a lovely setting. Parking is difficult but the pub is wonderful. Great service

Menu had nothing special on it for the prices. Carrot and curry soup was just that liquidised carrot with curry powder added.
