The White Horse inn was built in the 17th century as a farmhouse, the architectural details suggest it was built in the early 1600's, maybe as early as circa 1600. There are several examples of stop chamfer moldings on the beams in the downstairs bar and restaurant that are typical of this date. The wide oak floorboards on the first floor and attic also suggests 17th century as does the positioning of the inglenook fireplace. The quality of the timber frame indicates a high status house and unusually thetimbers on the first floor appear of a higher quality than the ground floor.

Delicious meal. The best fish and chips outside Aldeburgh! A good selection of wines by the glass. My husband enjoyed his banoffee ice cream sundae. Thoroughly recommend. Staff friendly and speedy service too!

Another fantastic meal at our favourite place. Lovely friendly staff, great service, just love the Whitehorse. Looking forward to our next visit very soon. Eric our frenchie is a massive fan of Hannahs lol.

This pub is the best in Suffolk, perhaps in all of England. The food is outstanding, the quality of the roast dinner cannot be matched. So many use the hideous warming trays and their leathery roast shows it. This roast was top quality, fresh, perfectly cooked and presented. Best roast beef ever. And all the vegetables and accompaniments showed top quality....very important. Too many overcook their vegetables. Perfect. Clean tables, lovely service. Cannot do better, anywhere.
