Great new menu, delicious meal, excellent service… There is not much to dislike about this buzzing little village pub. We will be back again. Thank you for making our anniversary both memorable and special.

We are so fortunate to have this amazing pub on our doorstep in the village of Chilton Foliat. Amazing service from the fabulous Alex and her team, and sublime food. The menu has just changed and we ate the Pea, Mint and Cheddar Croquettes, Tiger bread and marmite butter which were both extremely yummy. The Prawn Bisque, Grilled Tiger Prawn, Prawn Toast, Tomato and Fennel Concasse was delectable. One of the best bisques I've eaten, rich and creamy and full of Umami flavour. Great vegetarian main of very posh mushrooms on toast with truffle and tarragon, and two delicious steak frites finished off our meal. Can't recommend highly enough. Renovations currently underway for accommodation and more dining space and garden also being spruced up, so things are only going to get better at this awesome pub/restaurant.

Back at the pub for the first time in a few weeks and the food was excellent. Classy new dish of mushrooms on toast was nice and Caesar salad. Then chocolate delice desert - excellent.

We had a seriously delicious meal here on Saturday night. This little pub is really going places, the menu is interesting and varied and the service and vibe is very friendly and attentive. Thank you to the team at Wheatsheaf. We shall return again soon.

Food was lovely. But the service was not great. The young waiter didn’t know what drink to offer a heavily pregnant woman and asked her to go to the bar to see what they had. Really not good enough. The bill came but again we had to go to the bar to sort as no more inclination of coming over or any information was supplied.
