Récemment primé comme le meilleur restaurant de fruits de mer par les lecteurs de San Diego Magazine, le restaurant propose un choix de plats contemporains, de nouvelles créations et de gastronomie classique, conçue autrement par Hardel. Dans une ambiance qui rappelle l'élégance et le raffinement européens, le personnel est toujours attentif aux clients que ce soit pour le déjeuner, le dîner, le souper ou pour un dessert après le théâtre. LE THÉ EN APRÈS-MIDI Le Westgate vous permet de profiter d'un répit hors de l'ordinaire pendant l'heure du thé. Détendez-vous aux sons mélodieux de la harpe pendant que vous vous laissez tenter par une délicieuse gamme de sandwichs de thé goûteux, de pâtisseries, de scones et de petits fruits saisonniers. Beautiful, small restaurant. It wasn't crowded when we went so it felt spacious and it was quiet. Food wasn't exceptional but it was good. Dessert is pretty untraditional. The tiramisu is a couple macarons, a chocolate roll and cream. Good, but not if your looking for traditional tiramisu. Same with the cheesecake.

Enjoyed the Westgate Room - nice ambiance and good service. Regret that the crab cakes were a disappointment - bit soggy.

I dont know if the service was bad due to Restaurant week, but it took 30 mins for our server to realize that we hadn't even had our first course yet. The main entrees were served cold. 2 dishes were returned. Other patrons complained as well as their dishes were forgotten for 1 hour.

One of our best dining experiences downtown. Atmosphere is formal and elegant. Food is superb. Service is extraordinary.

Service started off great. But somehow after we ordered our food which was early on took forever to come. Only an issue as we were catching a show at the Civic.
