Welcome to The Wee Choo-Choo – Pitlochry's most unique and exciting dining experience! Step aboard our beautifully restored Norwegian railway carriage.

Our Daughter-and-Mother team owns and operates the restaurant Mia and Isara McCallum. Mia McCallum is from Phuket, Thailand, and is in charge of the dining experience. Isara is our main chef, also born in South Thailand. She brings her passion for traditional Thai cooking to the heart of Highland Perthshire.

Whether you're a fan of classic Thai curries or fragrant stir-fries, our menu has something to delight every palate. We use only the freshest ingredients and locally sourced produce to ensure every dish bursts with flavour.

Excellent restaurant with really tasty Thai dishes on the menu. Intimate setting in ‘Mission Impossible’ train carriage in the heart of Pitlochry. Highly recommend a visit to this unique restaurant run by a local family.

Freezing carriage,very bland food & very limited menu, avoid tap water as ice gives a disgusting flavour, had to buy small bottles massively overpriced, so disappointing

Dear Marie We noticed that you were uncomfortable with the temperature in our airconditioned train carriage. We approached you proactively and offered you a different table furthest away from an AC unit. The outside temperature was 24 Centigrade, and the train is metal with double glazing. The air-conditioning offered the other 38 guests a comfortable experience. We note that despite the bland food you ordered and ate both the starter and the main. The tap water is chilled and is served with ice and lemon at no charge. The ice is manufactured at the bar using an ice maker utilising the same tap water as the tap water as such it is hard to understand why the ice would have a different taste. .

From beginning to end our experience was amazing, Sitting in the Wee Choo-Choo knowing we are dining in something that is a part of Hollywood history is an awesome feeling The interior reminds you of the Orient Express classy and beautiful the service was first class, the food was authentic Thai cuisine delicious is an understatement a work of art You will not be disappointed we highly recommend it

Wish we’d eaten here on the previous evening so we could have visited for a 2nd time ! Fantastic food, great setting and extremely friendly & helpful service. Will definitely be back when we’re next in the area.

An absolutely wonderful dining experience at the Wee Choo Choo! The staff were brilliant, the food was probably the best Thai Food I’ve ever had. The drinks and pudding were delicious too and the staff were really lovely. I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone in the area.

Everything was perfect, service, food and ambience, it’s not every day you can enjoy a fantastic lunch in a famous rail carriage, worth every penny!
