I made a reservation here for the first time, since I wanted to spend my anniversary with my boyfriend here for a change! First of all, I wanted to say the waitress was super sweet and super friendly, she checked in with us frequently to make sure everything was good! Overall, the appetizers we had was super delicious! We had popovers and BK Burrata which was delicious, my only complaint is that I wished the Burrata had more bread sticks (I don’t know what the actual name of it is) but otherwise the flavor was super tasty so we devoured the appetizers without a problem! As for an entree we both had the spicy fried chicken sandwich with truffle fries, if I’m being honest it was a little disappointing since the entree had potential. The fried chicken was a little over cooked so it was pretty dry, and lacked sauce but the flavor was great which is why I said it had potential. The truffle fries were a little too garlicky, so it was pretty overpowering so I don’t know if that’s how they normally are but next time I may get the regular fries instead since the fries were great and were very crispy! Lastly, we had dessert called “Lil David’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Sando” it was somewhat decent. The vanilla ice cream was good, just unfortunately the cookie was a little tough but wasn’t too bad. My boyfriend loved the cappuccino since he had it with his dessert, he said it was recommended. In my opinion, I believe there could be some improvements as far as the appetizer portions and possibly fixing the entree’s spices and sauce portion to prevent the foods from being dry or being too overwhelming. I’ll say the price was a bit pricey just for the meals we had since it wasn’t really anything outrageous or impressive, but otherwise we may return for like appetizers since they had a large selection.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Our server Nicolette was fantastic. Great recommendations and attention to us. Made our birthday celebration SO SPECIAL!

Food was delish. Warm lobster roll, smash burger, fries. Yum! Service was awesome. Waitress was friendly and offered great recommendations. Place was dark and loud—more like a sports bar—which I didn’t expect from the restaurant name. Won’t be back because of that. Spring was broken in my seat so not that comfy. Women’s bathroom is GORGEOUS. It’s a sports bar with good food.

Our waitress Nicolette was wonderful. We had such a nice time. We will be back! Thank you for making Fathers Day nice for us.

Nicolette was our server and she was beyond excellent. From the time we sat down, she was extremely attentive and so accommodating. The bus boys and the host were just as nice and helpful! We will be returning, in the very near future!

Always such a great experience! The staff is wonderful. Always so accommodating on seating requests. Now having visited 4 times in the last several months, Jules knows our drink orders and always trust her recommendations! A definite go to place for our group of 6.

My Mother's Day celebration experience with my daughter and 2 grandsons was excellent. Seating was ideal, our waitress was absolutely efficient and friendly, service was amazing and very timely considering the full house.

Thanks for another great experience at the Wayward. We came in expecting to see Grace (bartender) and Marcia (server). As it turns out, neither were there tonight. No worries, Megan at the bar took excellent care of us!!! We originally had plans to move to a table but decided to eat at the bar so we could watch the Yankees and Rangers games. No problem… Shannon (our favorite hostess) made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of at the bar. Megan was attentive, engaging, pleasant and knowledgeable! The bar was busy but not crazy. Megan was on top of making sure her guests were well taken care of in addition to taking care of the tables in the dining area. We started with drinks at the bar (beer for me and wine for my wife). We ordered the zucchini flower appetizer which was outstanding! My wife ordered the crab cake sandwich and I had a fried chicken sandwich. Megan was engaging and attentive throughout our visit. We had a chance to speak with Rob, one of the owners. He was appreciative that we had visited several times and was interested in our thoughts about our experiences. The restaurant was lively but not so loud that we couldn’t carry on a conversation. We also appreciated that the TVs were tuned at first to the Yankees game and then to the Rangers game. We’re always looking for a local go to place and the Wayward is it for us. If you haven’t visited yet, make it a point to do so. You won’t be disappointed!!!

The space is beautiful here and the service was great ..Drinks were on point.. There’s a huge bar with a lively crowd .. the food just wasn’t that good .. not a lot of care taken on the plates .. bit of weird menu .. needs more shareables. Not everyone wants to eat a sandwich for dinner !
