The Water House Project is a modern British tasting menu experience in Bethnal Green, East London.

Chef Gabriel Waterhouse opened The Water House Project with his wife, Patricia in Bethnal Green in Autumn 2021 aiming to bridge the gap between fine dining elegance and a more relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.   Here the team serve a seasonally evolving tasting menu which changes every three months.

We rely on local, seasonal ingredients using these when at their best.    We believe in using small amounts of ethically and sustainably reared meat and fish, and partnering with suppliers who share in our values. Our drink pairings are made up of either wines, sourced from small scale producers or a non-alcoholic pairing of teas, tonics and ferments made by our kitchen team.

Short form menu - Wednesday 7pm & Saturday 12.30pm

Long form menu - Thursday - Saturday 7pm
(£155pp including alcoholic or non alcoholic pairing)

We have been to the Water House Project several times and have enjoyed their home deliveries during the lockdown. This has by far been our best meal there. They somehow find a way to raise the bar each time.

One of my favourite London restaurants. Really delicious, memorable and inventive; wonderful wine pairings; great experience every time. Especially impressed with their attention to sustainability, through careful sourcing and no waste.

I've dined at the Waterhouse Project several times, and each visit has been exceptional, but this last one was the best yet. Every dish was incredible. We did the shorter menu for the first time and it's just the right amount of food and lets each dish shine. Easily one of the best dining experiences in London. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed a very special dinner at the Waterhouse Project. It is my favorite restaurant in London. The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly, I just love the place. Looking forward to go back soon.

Beautifully crafted dishes that celebrate the season and feature foraged herbs and flowers from nearby hackney, beautifully prepared meat and sea food and creative flavors and techniques that make for a truly memorable dining experience. The softly lit interior is beautifully farmhouse kitchen without straying too far away from the effortlessly cool East London vibe that you look for when you go to that part of town, and the warm and welcoming staff introduce the dishes with uncontrived passion and pride. Can’t wait for the autumn menu!

Food was nice, service was good. But I was not impressed with the Wine List or rather lack of. Not everyone wants a wine pairing and when I requested the Wine List I was referred to the the wine pairing and eventually offered a choice of just two wines. Not good for a restaurant charging these prices.

Gabriel and his team really care not just about the food but the complete holistic experience of dining. Everyone was super friendly and the food and the drink was really wonderful. It made for a very calm and edifying evening. We loved it.

I Went there for the second time, everything was outstanding. It’s awesome they have non alcoholic pairing. Even though they only change the menu quarterly I was going to book again for a special occasion, but they’re closed on the day
