The Waratah is a neighbourhood friendly bar, located in the heart of Darlinghurst.

Our ground floor features a friendly and easy-going public bar designed for walk-ins only. Upstairs is open for bookings, with a vibrant terrace bar complete with a stunning sun-draped rooftop and wrap-around veranda.

Our focus is on cocktails and great food. The Waratah is our love letter to all that makes Australia unique: small & independent producers, local growers, native produce and a diverse and singular landscape.

Our steaks were really tough. Our potato side was very small. We were not satisfied with the food. The staff were lovely.

Absolutely excellent in all ways. We sat at the bar upstairs for Fathers Day, proper hospitality operation in full effect. Excellent drink and excellent food. Brilliant staff.

we shared three starters and three mains amongst four of us. Each dish was amazing. We had fish/chicken/lamb for main course - delicious. We found the restaurant noisy but with a fun atmosphere. Will be back

Love this place. Food is beautiful. Ambience is great. We love sitting up at the bar in the dining area.

Came in for a killer combo of happy hour and steak night. Food and drinks were great quality and the staff were lovely! We had a delicious dessert to cap it off.
