The Wallace Restaurant is a London dining experience just waiting to be discovered. Flooded with natural light and dotted with trees and sculptures, the restaurant offers an elegant lunch and afternoon tea in a sublime setting protected from both the elements and the bustle of the West End. Stop by our stunning courtyard and enjoy our drop-in café.

Make a reservation for:
A La Carte or Set Lunch Menu any day between 12:00 - 14:00.
Afternoon tea service, 7 days a week, between 12:00-12:30 & 14:30 - 16:00.

Please provide any dietary restrictions and/or allergies at least 48 hours in advance so we can guarantee accommodation.

We kindly ask all guests to vacate the building by the museum closing time of 5pm.

Please note, guests cannot book online using a voucher, please email the restaurant with the voucher/serial number, PIN (if applicable), and voucher expiry date to reservations@thewallacerestaurant.com.

It was fine.... It was OK.... It was very hot due to the glass ceiling, so be cautious if you go on a sunny day, The food was very tasty and pleasant but I think the price is too much for what there is. The tea was a teabag, which I wasn't expecting.

The booking was easy and helpful, I got a quiet table as requested, but the restaurant was quiet anyway throughout a weekday lunch. Nice attentive staff who left us alone when we wanted for a long catch-up lunch. We both had starters and a pudding. Starters were delicious but minuscule. Pudding was a trifle; should be made with custard but we got cream which hadnt been able to soak into the rather plain bread base. Cooking competent but not good value; pleasant peaceful surroundings.

So disappointing. Service was slow and the server seemed annoyed to be there. Food was ok but not great. Certainly not worth £45 per person. Wished we had gone somewhere else for this experience.

Beautiful restaurant but the service was awful and food mediocre. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco which was plonked on the table and we were told ‘someone else will open it’. That someone else didn’t arrive after 25 minutes so we opened it ourselves! My friend’s veg risotto was rock hard and cold when it arrived - we sent it back. A new order for risotto arrived 15 minutes later which was marginally better and she was offered Parmesan, but it didn’t arrive. We asked for more tap water on 2 occasions but it didn’t arrive. All seemed chaotic with no person in overall charge. We refused to pay the service charge. So sad, because I have eaten here many times in the past and it was good, sadly not now.

We chose to eat at the Wallace Collection restaurant as part of our whole day's experience as we wanted to see the Ranjit Singh exhibition and then continue on to the rest of the collection. The venue is lovely, though warm on a sunny day. We were given a very friendly welcome and the service was generally friendly, attentive and efficient and we were shown to a very nice table. We were not rushed and enjoyed chatting with our guest very much. We enjoyed the lovely range of themed, Summer cocktails. Our only issue at all was with the menu. The set menu provided only very limited choices as the starter, if you did not want cold soup (or like mu guest, cannot eat cucumber), was chicken and the non vegetarian main course was also chicken. Having therefore decided to choose from the main menu, two of us ordered the cod for main. We were then told there was only one cod left, so I chose lamb. The waiter then returned to say that there was, in fact, no cod at all. He did try to provide my guest with options and brought the cafe menu as an alternative, but he ended up with lamb as well. We ordered a portion of fries and received green veg. When we pointed out the error, we were then invited to keep the greens anyway while the fries were prepared- which were delicious. Overall, we enjoyed the food but the options are a little limited, especially if by 1pm, the fish main option has run out.

My friend and I had a lot to catch up on. The atmosphere in the restaurant is calm and beautiful. Staff attentive but never intrusive. Very smiley. Loved it. In fact we hadn't realised how long we had talked. A perfect tribute to a lovely lunch/afternoon tea time
